Ensures the accurate entry of data into the locally used computer database system to document maintenance actions, monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and maintain equipment records. Analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs CSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools. Uses Hazardous Materials such as chemical sealants, oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, etc. Performs proper handling and disposal of chemicals and petroleum products required during maintenance. Performs close tolerance adjustment, repair and rework of equipment in and out of shop area. Services, inspects and tests aviation support equipment used for direct and indirect aircraft support. Troubleshoots, inspects, services, tests and conditions storage batteries to include lead-acid, gel and sealed type. Performs Corrosion Control/Prevention, Preservation and de-preservation of Support Equipment (SE). <p>The Mechanical Metrology Engineer is the resident expert in his field and, in conjunction with the Kuwait Senior Engineer, provides engineering/consultant services to the GOK.
