<p>We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental Engineer to ensure that all marine construction, offshore, and infrastructure projects comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing environmental impact assessments, monitoring programs, permitting, and providing technical guidance to project teams to minimize environmental risks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) for marine and offshore projects
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for project activities, identifying potential environmental impacts and developing mitigation measures
• Ensure all project activities comply with local environmental laws, regulations (e.g., Ministry of Environment, EPA), and international standards (ISO 14001:2015)
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities for environmental permits, licenses, and approvals including Consent to Operate (CTO)
• Monitor and manage the impact of marine construction activities on ecosystems including coral reefs, mangroves, and marine fauna
• Conduct water and sediment quality testing before, during, and after marine construction
• Oversee waste management generated from marine construction projects including hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• Participate in Environmental Risk Assessment workshops (ENVID) and maintain the Environmental Risk Register (ERR)
• Review and endorse environmental studies including baseline surveys, modeling studies, and assessment reports

<p><br><span>Position Summary</span></p><br>
<p><br>The Department of Industrial Engineering invites applications for a visiting faculty position from outstanding candidates with expertise at the intersection of Industrial Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, software-driven systems, optimization, and data analytics. We seek a highly qualified and forward-looking academic who can contribute to teaching, research, graduate supervision, and industry collaboration, while helping shape a modern Industrial Engineering department aligned with Industry 4.0, smart systems, digital transformation, and applied research excellence. The candidate is expected to have an exceptional track record in artificial intelligence and machine learning, including demonstrated expertise in large language models and robotics-oriented applications. The successful candidate is expected to develop an exceptional teaching and research portfolio that strengthens the department’s undergraduate and postgraduate offerings, with a particular role in supporting and expanding the MSc programs through advanced teaching, thesis supervision, interdisciplinary research, and curriculum innovation.</p><br> <p><span>Key Responsibilities</span><br>The successful candidate will be expected to:</p><br>

He is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programmes across SCM operations. </span></span></span></span></span></span></p><br>
<br><br>Job Responsibilities <br><ul>
<li>Plan, direct and conduct overall training programme for employees working with SCM.</li>
<li>Carry out new starter Novice MHE training</li>
<li>Carry out MHE operator refresher training</li>
<li>Support the wider business units with MHE training as required</li>
<li>Carry out Defensive driving training</li>
<li>Carry out Staff Inductions</li>
<li>Carry out First Aid and Fire awareness training for staff as required.</li>
<li>Attend monthly site safety meeting and update on all matters relating to operator MHE training</li> <li>Set goals, priorities and broad objectives for staff MHE training in collaboration with line managers and employees in order to reduce the cost, severity and frequency of accidents.</li>
<li>Facilitate in providing training sessions, develop appropriate objectives and ensure achievement for the same.</li>
<li>Coordinate the safety activities of all safety and training personnel to ensure maximum benefit across the company.</li>
<li>To be involved in investigating MHE incidents and accidents</li>
<li>Evaluate and review operating procedures and Safety precautions to minimise the potential for accident and injury.</li>
<li>Supervise and participate in accident/ incident investigations.</li>
<li>Ensure optimum level of customer satisfaction and compile all feedback to analyse work of employees.</li>
<li>Co-ordinate with line managers and supervisors to assess the training needs of individual departments.</li>
<li>Should evaluate the competency level of individual trainees to enable him work with employees with different knowledge and skill levels.</li>
<li>Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.</li>
<li>Research and recommend new training methods.</li>
<li>Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills techniques into employees work behaviour.</li>
</ul>
<br><br>Candidate Requirements <br><ul>
<li>Proven work experience as a Trainer or similar role (coordinator/ facilitator).</li>
<li>Must be a MHE operative, with a recommended minimum 2 years experience.</li>
<li>Multi- skilled trainer who can deliver courses for a wide range of MHE. </li>
<li>Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess and analyse needs, develop learning objectives, design and develop training programme, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, preferably bilingual with English and Arabic.</li>
<li>Excellent Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Good organisational and self-management skills</li>
<li>Administrative skills to manage training programmes.</li>
<li>Competencies in MS Office and Presentation Skills.</li>
<li>Skill in analysing and organising information to develop, evaluate and improve safety and training programmes.</li>
<li>Ability to identify training needs and to facilitate and/ or provide training programme to meet those needs, and to conduct training on a variety of subjects (MHE operator training, Defensive driving, First Aid, Customer care etc).</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely with individuals and groups, both orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressures of time constraints and conflicting demands.</li>
<li>Degree/ or Diploma or equivalent is required, but will accept a combination of education and prior experience.</li>
<li>Candidate with MHE instructor certification is preferred</li>
<li>4-5 years experience in a professional logistics warehousing environment.</li>

<h4>What you will do</h4>
<p>Select and interview candidates, provide training, and oversee staff performance; conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary matters.</p>
<p>Makes sure that all their subordinates comply with their respective core standards and culture standards.</p>
<p>Is accountable for being a highly visible individual in the lobby that well represents the Executive Management.</p>
<p>Coordinate with the Banqueting Manager the events logistical needs that are linked with the Guest.</p>
<p>Schedule all Guest Service staff (Bell staff, Valet Parking and Door staff) to ensure maximum guest satisfaction within budgeted guidelines.</p>
<p>Ensure all vehicles and keys are handled with caution and are properly secured.</p>
<p>Coordinate the cooperation between all Guest Service staff in handling guest cars, luggage, etc.</p>
<h4>What you bring</h4>
<p>Minimum 2–3 years of experience in similar position preferably in a luxury or five-star hotel environment.</p>
<p>Proven leadership experience in managing multicultural teams.</p>
<p>Strong organizational and planning skills.</p>
<p>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</p>
<p>Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.</p>
