<p>The Aircraft Mechanic III performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of complex to extreme difficulty. Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Find your future with us.</p><br><br><br><p><span><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></span></p><br><br><p>- The successful applicant will coordinate C-17 SE maintenance requirements and will plan, research, develop, analyze and retrofit repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.</p><br><br><p>- They will also define the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.</p><br><br><p>- They will plan and coordinate modifications, maintenance, and repair of enterprise products and assist engineering staff in planning and incorporating improvements.</p><br><br><p>- Responsible for assisting project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.</p><br><br><p>- Will review and recommend projects and proposals or aircraft Support Equipment modification.</p><br><br><p>- Required to assist in moderately complex or multiple projects, and develop, coordinate and forecast requirements.</p><br><br><p>- Will monitor project performance and risks and take necessary corrective action.</p><br><br><p>- Maintains equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.</p><br><br><p>- Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components.</p><br><br><p>- Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.</p><br><br><p>- Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.</p><br><br><p>- Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.</p><br><br><p>- Assist in tool room processes and have knowledge of TCMAX or other tool control programs. Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer. Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages. Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times. Bus coffee cart areas and tables. Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day. Obtain change required for expected business level.
