<p>Product Repair & Modifications Technician</p><br><br><br><p><b>Company:</b></p><br><br>Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait<br><br><p>The Boeing Company is currently seeking a<b> C-17 Product Repair/Mod Technician</b> to support Boeing Global Services in <b>Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait</b>. </p><br><br><p>This position is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft based at Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait. <p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>
<p>Member will supervise, perform and inspect organizational and intermediate level maintenance and modifications on RPA systems and support equipment, as required. Lastly, this position requires an individual that can apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals/instructions or similar documents through the usage of test equipment/instruments to affect repairs.</p>
<p>Member will inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and other critical components to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants/trains, fuel systems, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns and drills.</p>
<p>Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.; diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks; test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft; adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories.</p>
<p>Perform aircraft services to include engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks. <h4>Minimum requirements:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Must have high school diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.</li>
<li>Minimum of five years of actual aircraft mechanic maintenance experience required.</li>
<li>Minimum of two years’ experience on MQ-9 aircraft, as aircraft mechanic.</li>
<li>Must have advanced knowledge of basic and complex mechanical maintenance and repair.</li>
<li>Must possess advanced knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft mechanical maintenance.</li>
<li>Must know theory and principles of operation of engines, accessories and components, theory of flight and electronic flight controls, and have an advanced understanding of applicable systems.</li>
<li>Must be able to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.</li>
<li>Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.</li>
<li>Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.</li>
<li>Must be able to deploy to forward locations (other countries) as directed by the government.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear military issued equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.</li>
<li>Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.</li>
<li>Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date.</li>
<li>Must have had an active secret US government clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.</li>
<li>Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employment.</li>
<li>Must have current/active state issued driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line government driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must have valid U.S. passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank visa pages.</li>
<li>Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster. Accommodations may be available under limited circumstances.</li>

<h4>Preferred qualifications:</h4>

<li>Associate degree in a relevant career field.</li>
<li>Licensed by the FAA as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.</li>
<li>Aircraft mechanic experience within the last 10 years.</li>
<li>RPA deployment experience.</li>
<li>Prior experience as a defense contractor.</li>
<li>MQ-9 aircraft composite repair/replacement experience.</li>

Extensive Fire Fighting and Emergency Service Experience. (5 Years) Possess knowledge of safety and environmental issues. Be familiar with various Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).</p><p>Working Conditions : Must be capable of working in various weather conditions (i.e. humidity, rain/wet season, warm/hot, sunny). The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.</p><p>Physical Requirements : Firefighter/EMT must have the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 45 lbs. and be able to collectively lift, carry, and balance patients who weigh in excess of 100 lbs. In addition, the Paramedic must have the ability to pull and reach with both hands; crawl, kneel, bend and climb; work outdoors in excessive heat or cold, high humidity or dry atmospheric conditions. Firefighter/EMT will be exposed to lifting, pulling and numerous strenuous activities that paramedics face during medical response calls.
