<p>Performs specialized duty work functions preparing for and responding to fire/medical emergency calls and providing general support within the Fire Department. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Maintains readiness for emergency call response; responds to fire, medical, and related emergency calls when dispatched and takes proper action; Educates staff and public on fire safety/prevention; and performs Fire Department activities. <p>Product Repair & Modifications Technician</p><br><br><br><p><b>Company:</b></p><br><br>Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait<br><br><p>The Boeing Company is currently seeking a<b> C-17 Product Repair/Mod Technician</b> to support Boeing Global Services in <b>Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait</b>. </p><br><br><p>This position is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft based at Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait. Applicants will participate in organizational level maintenance activities (e.g. flight line tasks including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement) associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet KAF mission requirements.</p><br><br><br><p>Additionally, participation in Intermediate level maintenance activities (e.g. back-shop tasks including component repair, test set operation, battery charging, and scheduled periodic inspections) will be required.</p><br><br><br><p>This position is required to work one of two shifts Sunday through Thursday, weekends and holidays as required to support the flight line maintenance requirements.</p><br><br><br><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><br><br><p>· English is the primary language of the KAF community on the airbase in Kuwait. All technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English. Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary.</p><br><br><p>· Leads the assembly, disassembly and/or modification of systems by the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.</p><br><br><p>· Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul.</p><br><br><p>· Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.</p><br><br><p>· Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.</p><br><br><p>· Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.</p><br><br><p>· Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).</p><br><br><p>· Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.</p><br><br><p>· Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).</p><br><br><p>· Provides training and mentors others.</p><br><br><p>· Works under minimal direction.</p><br><br><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><br><br><p>· 5+ years of C17 maintenance experience</p><br><br><p>· Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country as applicable.</p><br><br><p>· This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. <p>The VTC Technician conducts VTC conferences, operates VTC equipment such as VTC conferencing equipment, consoles, Digital Video Recorders (DVD), cameras, microphones, desktop and laptop computers supporting VTC events.
