Also performs analysis and evaluation of equipment test and performance requirements, and prescribes calibration approaches, test equipment and servicing requirements necessary to assure measurement traceability. Directs, conducts and evaluates the development of calibration procedures for assigned equipment categories. Conducts liaison and coordinates with technical societies and engineering facilities of other countries to remain current with the state-of-the-art and new measurement techniques. Includes qualification requirements D and E. OR; Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration school and twelve (12) years of work experience in the metrology and calibration field. Completion of a precision measurement and calibration school at an accredited school, or within a specialized calibration firm, and twelve (12) years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating physical/dimensional precision measurement equipment and calibration laboratory reference standards. I Five (5) years of experience in technical oversight and training responsibilities of calibration and repair technicians with three (3) years within the last five (5) years. Experience in researching requirements and maintaining calibration laboratory facility and related environmental control systems. Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. <p>Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the Digital Small Switch DSS-2A Monitor trunk and circuit outages as well as the administrative terminal and Enhanced Command Console (ECC). Perform direct trunk dialing checks over trunk channels associated with the switch to ensure satisfactory operation of voice circuits (at least once each shift and following any trunk failure). Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) on the switch and peripheral equipment. Conduct systems checks every 2 hours. Create and update databases in the administrative terminal using information received from users, Raytheon, and DISA. Perform database backups to CD-R discs. Perform database downloads to update switch configurations. Update and print out telephone console information and line strips for users. Fabricate custom interface cables using hand tools and wiring diagrams. Escort individuals requiring access to the Red Switch in the performance of their duties. Ensure that all outages are reported in a timely manner to the DISA GNOSC, NOC-K, TCF, V2X management for tracking in Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP) ticketing system.
