Ensure that space-out drawings are correct and are posted in the drillers cabin. Overseeing that post-jarring sheet are filled out and understood by the driller. Relieve the Driller at the Driller s console as operational requirement demands. Ensures that all necessary equipment is ready for the next phase of the Drilling / Workover program and that necessary rig procedures, including JSA and PTW, are prepared on time and with good quality for the actual operations. Assists & supervises drilling crew at the location at all relevant times, ensuring circulating time is sufficient and the well is stable on trips, when the BHA is being worked and whenever there is a hole problem. Operates the drilling unit with strict adherence to company Drilling & Well Control manuals, by reviewing and approving all drilling related work permits.Ensure that well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements - assist in supervising well killing operations in any well control situation. Plans & monitors comprehensive well control parameters to proactively identify any signs of well control issues for early detection and swift response. Maintains and regularly tests well control equipment, in accordance with Company s and Client s requirement, ensuring its readiness and effectiveness in critical situations. Perform all well control calculations (i.e., mud weight increase, initial and final circulating pressures, number of strokes, etc.).To be part of the Rig s Emergency Response Team as detailed in the Emergency Plan and Company Procedures. Must be able to pass and clear CENTCOM (CRC) Deployment Training and Army MOD17 Medical for Deployment. Ability to clear the Army MOD 17 Medical is required for Deployment to Kuwait, will occur while attending CRC (DIDC) deployment training. May be required to travel to and between remote locations in austere and/or hostile environments, in support of mission operations. (AR95-20) Mechanic Pre-employment Medical Requirements: Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years. Security Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility. Physical and Additional Qualifications Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit. Job Overview The TCP Specialist Wireline is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations safely and efficiently in support of customer well completion and intervention activities. This role provides advanced technical expertise in TCP systems, explosive handling, pressure control equipment, and perforating technologies while ensuring compliance with Weatherford operational procedures, HSE standards, and customer requirements. Working closely with customers, drilling and completion teams, field operations, and engineering personnel, the TCP Specialist serves as the technical lead for TCP operations, ensuring equipment readiness, operational excellence, service quality, and successful project execution across onshore and offshore environments.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and execute Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations in accordance with approved engineering programs, customer requirements, and Weatherford procedures.</li><li>Prepare, inspect, assemble, test, and maintain TCP equipment, perforating guns, firing heads, setting tools, and associated downhole equipment.</li><li>Ensure all explosive materials are handled, transported, stored, and utilized in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Conduct pre-job planning, risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and operational briefings before each job.</li><li>Verify equipment readiness, certification, maintenance status, and documentation prior to mobilization.</li><li>Supervise rig-up, pressure testing, execution, troubleshooting, and rig-down of TCP equipment at customer well sites.</li><li>Monitor operational performance and resolve technical issues during well completion and perforating operations.</li><li>Coordinate activities with customer representatives, drilling contractors, rig personnel, and other service providers to ensure seamless execution.</li><li>Prepare accurate operational reports, service tickets, equipment records, and post-job documentation.</li><li>Investigate operational failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage, preservation, and maintenance of TCP tools and explosive equipment.</li><li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Wireline Engineers, Field Specialists, and operators.</li><li>Support new technology implementation, field trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Weatherford HSE policies, customer standards, API requirements, and local regulatory requirements.</li><li>Promote operational excellence, service quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all field activities.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) systems and completion operations.</li><li>Experience with perforating guns, firing heads, detonators, setting tools, and explosive systems.</li><li>Knowledge of explosive safety regulations, transportation, storage, and handling procedures.</li><li>Strong understanding of pressure control equipment (PCE) and well control principles.</li><li>Experience with wireline and completion equipment used during TCP operations.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance capabilities.</li><li>Knowledge of API standards, HSE requirements, and industry best practices.</li><li>Effective communication and customer relationship management skills.</li><li>Strong planning, organizational, and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently under demanding operational conditions.</li><li>Leadership and mentoring capabilities.</li><li>Computer proficiency in operational reporting and Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Ability to travel and work rotational schedules in onshore and offshore environments.</li></ul>Desired Candidate ProfileQualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma, Technical Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</li><li>Minimum 5 8 years of Wireline experience, including significant hands-on experience in Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations.</li><li>Proven experience supporting onshore and offshore well completion and perforating projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of pressure control equipment, perforating systems, and well intervention practices.</li><li>Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification is preferred.</li><li>Valid explosives handling certification or equivalent regulatory authorization (where applicable).</li><li>Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, H S, First Aid/CPR, and medical certification are preferred for offshore assignments.</li><li>Experience working with Weatherford TCP systems and operational procedures is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, quality, and customer service.</li><li>Willingness to travel internationally and work rotational field assignments as required.</li></ul>#LI-MD1 Weatherford supports the sustainable development and production of oil and gas resources, wherever they exist, to ensure the worldâ€™s current and future energy needs can be met safely, efficiently and economically.
