Makes proper classification determinations as it pertains to U.S. Government property. Assists Shops as needed with Troubleshooting processes. Uses proper Test Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) in the daily operations phase. Conducts Actual Cost of Damages (ACOD), Estimated Cost of Damages (ECOD), and Estimated Cost of Repairs (ECOR). Conduct Tests on Serviced, Repaired and Overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency before returning to customer. Understands the automotive repair shop equipment and functions in order to provide assistance and coverage whenever needed. Perform technical research and ensure operational readiness of assigned equipment. <p>The Aircraft Mechanic III performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of complex to extreme difficulty. Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Make entries in aircraft logs and records, and responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts. Plan, conduct, and supervise aircraft technical inspections. Compute basic weight and balance records. Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required. Ensure compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration. note US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.</li> <li>Minimum seven years of construction field experience in all phases of civil and building construction or a two-year associate degree in construction management or related field and five years of field experience.</li> <li>Experience with mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing) and electrical projects.</li> <li>Experience in civil and structural projects and hold an American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete testing certification.</li> <li>Construction inspector shall also be versed in the International Building Code (IBC), NFPA fire codes, British Standard (BS) electrical code, and the National Electric Code (NEC) in addition to general construction practices.</li> <li>Must be able to read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and related documents); Report the status of requests (open/closed/pending) and identify challenges related to pending requests. Verify signed Qatalum Maintenance Request Forms against contractors weekly reports. Verify completion/no-access reports and highlight challenges to the Engineer regarding contractors progress. Inspect contractors onsite manpower daily against work progress and report to the Engineer. Inspect spare parts installation processes onsite and verify them against contractor reports. Support the Engineer in communication between GS (Housing Section) and C&amp;I regarding no-access requests and site inspections.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Personal Skills &amp; Requirements: Strong communication skills and personality for supervising maintenance contractors at the Qatalum Housing Accommodation site.</p>
