<p>The Mechanical Metrology Engineer is the resident expert in his field and, in conjunction with the Kuwait Senior Engineer, provides engineering/consultant services to the GOK. Conducts research and studies new equipment to ensure that the latest developments in technique and equipment are included in metrology planning for future acquisition. Assists in the development and implementation of a Metrology QA Program as required. Assists in obtaining and maintaining laboratory QA accreditation. Assesses requirements and develops new measurement techniques and approaches related to mechanical, electro- mechanical, optical, electro-optical, chemical, and electro-chemical calibration methodology. Also performs analysis and evaluation of equipment test and performance requirements, and prescribes calibration approaches, test equipment and servicing requirements necessary to assure measurement traceability. Directs, conducts and evaluates the development of calibration procedures for assigned equipment categories. Lastly, this position requires an individual that can apply basic technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force technical orders, manufacturers manuals/instructions or similar documents through the usage of test equipment/instruments to affect repairs. Member will inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and other critical components to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants/trains, fuel systems, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns and drills. Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.; diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks; test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft; adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories. Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate engineering and construction activities.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, and deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality, HSE, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and project reports.
• Support project planning, execution, and close-out activities.
Preferred Skills:
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
