Reporting any leaks, abnormal readings, vibrations or sounds to the shift supervisor as soon as possible and leakage shall be treated as a fire risk and dealt with immediately. Lubricate moving parts such as gears, shafts, and bearings on engines and auxiliary equipment. Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on the engine room equipment and machinery as directed. Report damaged tool that require replacement to the Senior Mechanic and remove the damaged tool from service.</p><p><strong>Housekeeping:</strong> Maintain the engine and associated machine spaces and workshop clean and organized, free of hazards prior to & upon completion of the work tasks, or repairs. <p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>
<p>Member will supervise, perform and inspect organizational and intermediate level maintenance and modifications on RPA systems and support equipment, as required. Lastly, this position requires an individual that can apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals/instructions or similar documents through the usage of test equipment/instruments to affect repairs.</p>
<p>Member will inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and other critical components to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants/trains, fuel systems, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns and drills.</p>
<p>Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.; diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks; test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft; adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories.</p>
<p>Perform aircraft services to include engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks.
