<p>Overview ***This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of WEXMAC*** Working across the globe, V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield. Responsible for Fire Station daily operations to ensure personnel are well-trained and capable to perform their duties effectively and on short notice. Select and guide firefighters to perform as expected when called upon and will continually assess their readiness and performance. This assessment will maintain daily awareness of fire inspections, fire services, inspection and testing of fire protection and alarm systems, firefighter training, and fire drills. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Manage installation FES to include maintaining operating instructions, Master Plan, Standards of Coverage, manpower, equipment and supplies. + Develop and implement plans to cover for reduced operational capabilities; response, staffing, pollution prevention, safety of personnel, operational risk management + Manage compliance self-inspection program IAW Army Installation Command checklist ensuring requirements contained in Amy Regulation 420-1, Performance Work Statement, DoDI 6055.6 are continually maintained. + Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs; recommend and administer policies and procedures; oversee and participate in the development of new fire ordinances. + Provide 24/7 FES to the installation. Services include on-scene incident management, aircraft rescue and firefighting, structural firefighting, response to hazardous materials, technical rescue to include auto extrication and confined space rescue and emergency medical services support. + Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommend, within company policy, appropriate service and staffing levels. + Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for fire service staff; assign work activities, projects, and programs; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems. + Select, train, motivate, and evaluate fire service personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures. + Ensure that equipment, safety clothing, apparatus, and supplies are specified, purchased, received, distributed in an effective and consistent manner. + Performs Job Duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + + An Associate’s or higher degree in fire technology. + Meet position certifications IAW DoD Manual 6055.06 except also hold Fire Officer IV certification; Shipboard firefighter is preferred. + Must be a U.S. Citizen + A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. Supervisory/ Budget Responsibilities: + + Manages large department with multiple fire stations geographically dispersed and large number of personnel. Manages significant annual budget and also vehicle replacement programming and facility improvement planning. Skills: + + Must have experience directing firefighting operations to include fighting aircraft and structural fires, performing rescue services, and responding to hazardous materials incidents, medical emergencies, and confined space rescues. + Knowledge of the chemistry of fire, preventive maintenance and operations of firefighting and rescue equipment, physical and chemical properties of combustible materials and building structures and their component systems. + Experienced in managing fire prevention and protection plans and programs. + Previous knowledge to act for the Fire Chief during his absence. + Assumes complete charge of operations in absence of Fire Chief at crashes, fires, emergency situations, and at other times. + Directs activities and personnel, transmitting instructions to Assistant Chiefs on the scene or other personnel as to the procedures to be followed contingent on complexity of the incident type. + Must also have experience at management of self-inspection and compliance measurement programs Working Conditions: + + Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. + Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). + Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. + Work is performed in a standard office with frequent travel to various locations to attend meetings and/or perform Department activities in responding to emergency scenes, disasters, or critical incidents; the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and wet and/or humid conditions; occasionally works in high, precarious places; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, the noise level is occasionally very loud due to sirens, etc., wear protective apparel including goggles, face protector, aprons, safety shoes, and self-contained breathing apparatus; incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends. <p>Under the general direction of the Fire Chief, responsible for implementing LOGCAP V Fire Protection Plan and ensuring emergency response operations are conducted within the guidelines stipulated by this plan and the Emergency Management Plans. Reports directly to the Assistant Fire Chief of Operations. Implements the fire protection programs that conform to the Performance Work Statement. Implements and maintains a safe workplace, ensuring safety is the highest priority. Complies with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and goals. Provides documentation to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. Ensure that all subordinate employees are trained and understand EHS and QA requirements and goals. Maintains documentation as necessary to meet these requirements. (10%) Conducts fire inspections and ensures that facilities are safe, and documentation is recorded and tracked. Operates computerized digital fire alarm receiving equipment including two-way radio communications equipment. Performs additional logistical duties in support of fire department operations to include, maintaining accountability of equipment, scheduling maintenance of equipment, coordinating appointments of subordinates, and other administrative duties as needed. (10%) Ensures that emergency equipment under the control of the fire department is operational and in a state of readiness as required by NFPA or other industry standards. Responds to emergencies, disasters, and hazardous material (HAZMAT) spills according to the responsibilities identified in the department work instructions, standard operating procedures or the Emergency Management plan. Serves as the team leader for either a rescue unit, ladder truck, engine company, water tender or airport crash apparatus. Enters burning or contaminated structures, vehicles, and other immediately dangerous to life and health areas to fight fires and/or perform rescues while wearing required personal protective equipment. Directs Crew Chief/Company Officer level operations for structural fires, aircraft fires, rescue operations, medical emergencies, hazardous materials responses and other emergency events as directed. (45%) Provides supervision to Fire-fighters. Required to maintain and clean personal protective equipment and supervise firefighters in cleaning equipment and facilities. Performs duties in support of organizational metrics. Trains and orients subordinate employees on performance, documentation, and activities that effect the achievement of department metrics. Adequately and honestly tracks all data related to metrics. Supports the achievement of LCV metrics, whether metrics can be directly or indirectly affected by this position s activities. Provides direct support, using staff resources, if necessary, to the achievement of all metrics related to the PWS and LOGCAP. Attends meeting in the absence of the supervisor or as needed. (25%) Communicates professionally, both orally and in writing, with their subordinates and others as needed to relay information necessary for job success. Job Summary<br><br> JOB DESCRIPTION <br><br>The Application Engineer assists customers by identifying the best solution for their application, offers and sells complete product solutions from the Flow Controls portfolio, provides commercial and technical support to customers, and strives to deliver the highest standards of customer service while working closely with peers, Outside Sales, Service Engineers, Business Managers, and other stakeholders.<br><br>The Application Engineer will be based in Kuwait or Qatar. Key customers include NOC, Dolphin Energy, QAFCO, QChem, QELNG, and QE in Qatar, as well as KOC, KNPC, and Equate in Kuwait.<br><br>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:<br><br>Provide Applications Engineering, technical, and pricing support to customers in Qatar and Kuwait, including technical presentations and site walkdowns. Perform sizing and selection of control valves and other FCV products, review project specifications, and prepare deviation lists. Prepare customer quotations that are timely, technically accurate, commercially verified, and offer the best overall solution. Conduct direct customer technical sales calls, order closeouts, site walkdowns, and prepare associated reports. Coordinate with GIS and Engineering teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions for severe-service applications and complex products. Present detailed technical solutions and recommendations to customers. Follow up on quotations with customers and the outside sales team until purchase orders are secured. Ensure purchase orders are commercially and technically compliant before order entry and process error-free orders to the appropriate factories. Coordinate with Project Management, Order Entry, and Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) teams to provide clean orders to factories and support customers with post-order documentation and requirements. Collaborate with the Flow Control Sales Manager and Application Manager to achieve sales targets and departmental KPIs. Maintain records and information within Emerson systems and tools, including Share Point and CRM platforms. Ensure compliance with Emerson Trade Compliance, Quality Management procedures, and Ethics policies. Stay current with product developments, industry trends, and market requirements.<br><br>Who You Are<br><br>Experienced in control valve products, applications, and Fisher sizing and selection tools. Experienced in selling control valve products and services to hydrocarbon, chemical, and petrochemical end users. Knowledgeable in industrial standards related to control valve design, manufacturing, and testing processes.<br><br>For This Role, You Will Need<br><br>Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the process control industry, including control valve products and applications. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical) or equivalent.<br><br>Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart<br><br>Experience with control valve sizing and selection tools, including Fisher FF2. Strong interpretation skills related to engineering drawings, specifications, and P&ID documentation. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to make sound technical decisions based on engineering principles, standards, and applicable codes. Org. Setting and Reporting<br>The UN Secretary-General launched on 1 January 2019 a bold and new global reform which repositioned the UN Development System to deliver more effectively and efficiently with the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. As part of this reform, UN Resident Coordinator Offices (UN RCO), under the leadership of an empowered and independent UN Resident Coordinator - the highest-ranking official of the UN Development System and Representative of the UN Secretary-General at country level - support countries in the achievement of their development priorities and the attainment of the SDG's. In its Resolution A/RES/72/279, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the transformation of the Development Operations Coordination Office (DCO) as a stand-alone coordination office within the United Nations Secretariat. DCO exercises managerial and oversight functions of the resident coordinator system under the oversight of the Chair of United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG). In 2026, DCO undertook a recalibration to ensure the RC system remains optimally configured to support the acceleration of the 2030 Agenda and embodies the UN 2.0 shift- anchored in data, digital, innovation, behavioral science, strategic foresight, and a mission driven organizational culture. Noting that strategic partnership entails nonmonetary partnership and can be used to strengthen joint initiatives/advocacy with external partners towards a common goal, including that of advancing SDGs, the Partnerships Officer provides advice and support to the Resident Coordinator and the UNCT strategic partnerships for SDG achievement. PARTICIPATES IN JOINT PARTNERSHIP AND RESOURCE MOBILIZATION INITIATIVES AND SUPPORTS MANAGEMENT OF POOLED FUND FOR THE UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION FRAMEWORK: • Provides substantive support to RC/UNCT to develop and implement locally tailored resource mobilization strategies and initiatives for Cooperation Framework priorities, and identify appropriate data and benchmarks to measure progress and success; • Monitors and analyzes existing resource mobilization partnerships and relationships, including traditional and non-traditional partners and development partners, donors (including high net-worth individuals, private sector, innovative funds) to be explored for direct funding to the UN; • Supports the UNCT with analysis of funding streams from internal and external sources, enabling their timely and coordinated engagement around preparation of proposals; • Supports the UNCT in preparation of the Funding Framework of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework; • Provides support to the design joint programmes for use in joint resource mobilization and coordination during the implementation of joint programmes as needed; • Advises RC/UNCT and external partners on offers from specialized UN entities for the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and ensuring the development of a youth partnership strategy to support the SG priorities on youths, disability inclusion, gender and other thematic issues; • Advises the RC/UNCT on corporate policies relating to effective management of resources, including through the establishment and use of pooled funds; • Assists in the establishment and management of the country-based SDG Fund, in close collaboration with UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office (where relevant). 3. WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE RESIDENT COORDINATOR OFFICE ECONOMIST AND OTHER UN COUNTRY TEAM FINANCE EXPERTS TO PROMOTE PARTNERSHIPS TO SUPPORT FINANCING FOR ACCELERATING THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs): • Provides advice on partnership opportunities to drive financing for development options, instruments, modalities to the RC/UNCT, in alignment with the Common Country Analysis (CCA), Cooperation Framework, Integrated National Financing Framework and similar processes; • Prepares briefing papers and discussion points on partnership issues related to financing for development for consideration by RC/UNCT; • Contributes to advocacy, communications and dialogues with partners to improve development assistance policies and practice; • Working in close collaboration with the RCO Economist, ensures effective engagement of relevant counterparts, especially private sector, civil society and development partners, to develop engagement and partnerships around SDG financing; • Undertakes the design and execution of innovative proposals to strengthen the UNCT engagement and reputation, and to generate greater financial resources in support of the SDGs. 4.
