<p><h4>Job description</h4> <p>The electrical metrology engineer is the resident expert in his field and, in conjunction with the Kuwait senior engineer, provides engineering and consultant services to the government of Kuwait (GOK). Conducts research and studies new equipment to ensure that the latest developments in technique and equipment are included in metrology planning for future acquisition. Assists in the development and implementation of a metrology QA program as required. Assists in obtaining and maintaining laboratory QA accreditation.</p> <p>Assesses requirements and develops new measurement techniques and approaches related to electrical, electronic, and microwave measurement areas. Develops, tests, and evaluates new calibration methodology, as well as performs analysis and evaluation of equipment. Establishes test and performance criteria, and prescribes calibration approaches, tests, equipment, and servicing requirements necessary to ensure measurement traceability. Directs, conducts, and evaluates the development of calibration procedures for assigned equipment. Conducts liaison and coordinates with technical societies and engineering facilities of other countries to remain current with state-of-the-art and new measurement techniques.</p> <p>Conducts detailed laboratory capability studies to achieve greater support efficiency.
