Specific responsibilities include hiring; employee/labor relations issues and investigations, wage and salary administration, training and development, affirmative action compliance, worker's compensation and safety and the<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>What will I be doing?<br><br>Requirements<br><br>The Human Resources Assistant Director directs and ensures the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources function to include recruiting, training, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements and the execution of employee relation activities, in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives. The HR Director is also accountable for ensuring a proactive Human Resources environment consistent with profitability objectives. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:<br><br>Ensure Affirmative Action Plan compliance by training management on the hotel's goals and interview and selection methods. Leads the hotel's quality program which involves a complete understanding of the standards and reporting format as well as the creation/design of related training and incentive programs to encourage consistent guest service by all team members. Analyzes reports to determine areas where continuous improvement methods can best be utilized. Manages the hotel's employee relations programs, including picnics, holiday parties, health fairs, employee communication sources, etc. and coordinates and directs staff through detailed oral and written instruction to facilitate successful completion of all related events/programs. Designs and implements new programs as may be needed for special promotions, events, or programs (e.g. safety, Olympics, blood drives). Manage and supervise the day-to-day HR Department operation. Communicate all applicable HR processes to managers and hotel staff relating to, but not limited to labor, contract compliance, disciplinary procedures, recruitment, orientation, staff relations, benefits, performance reviews, employment verifications and other HR related processes. Counsels and/or disciplines employees as needed, through clear, calm and direct oral and written communications, in accordance with the guidelines established by the hotel. Oversee the overall function of the HRIS System including, but not limited to all PAF data entry, separations, report generating, and other related functions. Responds to and negotiates on behalf of the hotel, all claims for unemployment. Supervises departmental and hotel staff regarding all issues relating to worker's Compensation to endure minimum exposure by the hotel to related expenses. Supervision of the Senior Manager/Managers of Catering along with administrative team in their day-to-day roles. Including maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communications. These include but are not limited to: Banquet Event Orders, Resumes, Daily Events Report, Golden Sales & Catering, and pre-convention meetings. Review the accuracy of the Catering Sales Managers/Senior Managers all booking conversions from the inquiries received; including but not limited to Sales, Reservations, Referrals, directly from the guests, and assigning those leads among the team where necessary. Forecasting/budgeting expertise and financial literacy to analyze pick up, trend, and pace to support the DOC in preparing the monthly forecast, the ability to analyze the month end financials summaries in line with the P&L. The ability to assist in developing and executing projects for assigned segments to generate demand and hence increase catering activity, volume and revenue. Ensure seamless operation between the C&E team and all vendor/supplier related clients’ needs, i.e. Audio Visual, Florists, Entertainment, Transportation, DMC, and outside catering/locations etc. Complete periodic audits of the Account and Booking Data in Golden Sales & Catering, to include but not exclusive to Conflict Report, Account Traces, Post Conference Reports, and Qualtrics-related reviews Evaluate current sales practices and make recommendations to maximize revenues of the Catering and Events forecast/budget while utilizing full potential of the existing resources.
