<p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules. Member will perform and inspect organizational and intermediate level electronic maintenance and modifications on RPA systems and support equipment, as required. Lastly, this position requires an individual that can apply basic technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals/instructions or similar documents through the usage of test equipment/instruments to affect repairs.</p>
<p>USAF equivalent position is Avionics Technician Apprentice.</p>
<h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Applies basic technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that affect operational and maintenance capabilities.</li>
<li>Requires a basic understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and associated systems.</li>
<li>Exercises independent judgment in performing assigned tasks in conjunction with designated direction from production staff, avionic leads, avionics/com technician IIIs, or avionics technician IIs.</li>
<li>Uses common and complex test instruments in the performance of assigned duties.</li>
<li>Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices.</li>
<li>Applies basic technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operations.</li>

<h4>Minimum requirements:</h4>

<li>Must be eligible to gain and maintain one of the following IAT Level II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, SSCP, or GSEC, IAW DOD 8570.01-M commensurate with the assigned duties within 90 days of hire or after the second deployment.</li>
<li>Must be able to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.</li>
<li>Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.</li>
<li>Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.</li>

<p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (UH-60 Army Aviation) performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneumatic and hydraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.</p>
<p>With a valid (FAA) A&P certificate (preferred), two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience, two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two (2) years on the assigned MDS UH-60 aircraft is required. (See below for requirements without A&P).</p>
<p>Valid US passport and US citizenship is required to obtain the NAC-I clearance and for facility access.</p>
<p>Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.</p>
<p>Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.</p>
<p>Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.</p>
<p>Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.</p>
<p>Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft technical manuals, maintenance information and action messages, and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.</p>
<p>Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.</p>

<h4>Minimum requirements</h4>

<h4>Additional and preferred qualifications</h4>

<li>Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.</li>

<p>Member will inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and other critical components to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants/trains, fuel systems, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns and drills.</p>
<p>Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.; diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks; test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft; adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories.</p>
<p>Perform aircraft services to include engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks. May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies. Recommend revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship.</p>
<p>USAF equivalent position is Aircraft Mechanic Craftsman.</p>
<h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Performs all daily launch/recovery duties in support of operational requirements.</li>
<li>Applies logic and good judgment, understands basic and advanced technical order diagrams and procedures, and uses test equipment for analysis of airframes, engines, flight controls, pneudraulic, fuel, electrical/electronic systems, and problems.</li>
<li>Supports aircraft utilization and maintenance activity schedules. Maintains accurate parts inventory during all maintenance activities. Performs maintenance and repair tasks and ensures their successful completion.</li>
<li>Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft equipment, engines, and sub-systems to ensure serviceability. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants, fuel systems (including tanks and fuel/metering control systems), and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet gun, drills, and other tools.</li>
<li>Inspects and repairs power plant (engine) malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc. Diagnoses malfunctions, isolate causes and corrects breaks. Tests engine operations, using testing equipment to locate source(s) of malfunction. Replaces and repairs damaged components, uses hand tools, gauges, and test equipment to complete repairs.</li>
<li>Removes engine and major components from aircraft equipment, using hoist or other lifting devices. Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Repairs and replaces defective engine components and reassemble and installs engine in aircraft.</li>

Maintains proficiency in operations of the USAF Maintenance Information System including Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS), Centralized Engine Management System (CEMS), and other maintenance management database library programs. Maintains equipment records in library files. Collects, reviews, and files documented information for planning and scheduling of various maintenance activities. Ensures accurate documentation is maintained for aircraft engines, munitions, missiles, AGE configurations, Time Compliance Technical Orders, time change items, and special inspections.</p>
<p>USAF equivalent position is Aircraft Scheduling & Documentation Apprentice.</p>
