<p><br></p><p><strong>Roles & Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Drilling Operations:</strong> Ensures the safety of personnel, equipment, and the efficiency of operations on the drill floor and other drilling operation associated areas. Plans and schedules all drilling and associated activity. Directs personnel towards achieving optimum job performance according to the client s requirements. Ensures any deviation from client well plan (Game Plan) is approved by STP, and that Client representative has documented in written form, and that necessary management of change or deviation is approved in Synergi prior to operation starts. Consult with the STP and Client s Representative regarding the progress of the Drilling program and associated operations, keeping the driller informed about the ongoing drilling program objectives and communicating any changes in plans. Ensure that space-out drawings are correct and are posted in the drillers cabin. Overseeing that post-jarring sheet are filled out and understood by the driller. Relieve the Driller at the Driller s console as operational requirement demands. Ensures that all necessary equipment is ready for the next phase of the Drilling / Workover program and that necessary rig procedures, including JSA and PTW, are prepared on time and with good quality for the actual operations. Assists & supervises drilling crew at the location at all relevant times, ensuring circulating time is sufficient and the well is stable on trips, when the BHA is being worked and whenever there is a hole problem. Operates the drilling unit with strict adherence to company Drilling & Well Control manuals, by reviewing and approving all drilling related work permits.</p><p><strong>Well Control:</strong> Ensure that well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements - assist in supervising well killing operations in any well control situation. Plans & monitors comprehensive well control parameters to proactively identify any signs of well control issues for early detection and swift response. Maintains and regularly tests well control equipment, in accordance with Company s and Client s requirement, ensuring its readiness and effectiveness in critical situations. Perform all well control calculations (i.e., mud weight increase, initial and final circulating pressures, number of strokes, etc.).</p><p><strong>Management of Major Emergencies:</strong> To be part of the Rig s Emergency Response Team as detailed in the Emergency Plan and Company Procedures. Ensure that all personnel are instructed in the procedures to be adopted in the case of an emergency. Ensure that Well Control and general safety drills are held and recorded in accordance with Company requirements.</p><p><strong>Materials & Equipment:</strong> Assist STP in ensuring the location has sufficient stock of parts and materials to perform drilling and associated operations as per contractual requirements. Ensure planned maintenance and repair of drilling equipment including draw-works, mud pumps, top drive, rotary table, and BOP are completed and documented to ensure optimum condition and proper availability of required tools. Responsible for housekeeping standards in all drilling areas, sack store and mud pump room.</p><p><strong>Rig Move:</strong> Support STP in planning all related rigs move activities, equipment, supplies, personnel in compliance with the Rig move Procedures. Assesses the current and new location, considering factors such as safety, lifting equipment availability at location, preparation for rig-up operations, Supervise the Rig move team during rigging down and rigging up activities to ensure they are followed efficiently and safely.</p><p><strong>Client Management:</strong> Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other department heads, supervisors, operator's representatives, subcontractors, and all personnel on the rig. Responds to client requests and needs concerning materials, equipment, and personnel after getting adequate management approval.</p><p><strong>Reporting and Documentation:</strong> Maintains proper logs and records, promptly submitting required reports as per company protocols and regulatory standards. Prepare accurate and timely reports, including daily drilling reports, equipment status reports and incident reports, to document drilling activities and operational performance. Review all operational/technical bulletins, communicate pertinent points to crew members and implement all directives as required. Assist STP in initiating, monitoring, and recording all maintenance and repairs work in collaboration with maintenance department.</p><p><strong>People Management & Development:</strong> Provide clear instructions to their team regarding their duties, responsibilities, and any necessary safety precautions prior to commencing work. Mentor, develop and train their team to ensure safe and effective operations. Identifies opportunities for skill and career advancement, works to support the professional growth of their team members. Ensure their team receives the necessary required training to perform their duties safely and effectively through on-the-job training, classroom training and participation in safety drills and exercises. Support, promote and actively participate in ADES s Competency Assurance Program for their team.
