We are seeking a highly motivated Asphalt Plant Mechanic to join our operations in Kuwait. 

This internship-level role provides hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of asphalt production equipment within a dynamic, safety-conscious environment. 

The successful candidate will gain exposure to plant systems, preventive maintenance programs, and real-world problem solving, supporting the continuous, efficient operation of asphalt production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior mechanics in the inspection, upkeep, and repair of asphalt plant equipment (drums, conveyors, dryers, filters, burners, pumps, hydraulics, and control systems).
  • Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and document findings to support reliability programs.
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control system issues under supervision, including reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Conduct routine safety checks, manage inventory of tools and spare parts, and ensure adherence to PPE and site safety procedures.
  • Assist in start-up and shutdown procedures, calibration, and performance testing of plant components.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize plant efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and materials usage.
  • Participate in training sessions to develop technical competencies and professional growth within the maintenance discipline.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering or a technical discipline) or enrolled in a university program with internship eligibility.
  • Interest in heavy equipment maintenance, with a focus on asphalt production systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls; willingness to learn and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to following established procedures and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Eligibility to work in Kuwait and willingness to comply with local regulatory requirements.

 

Required Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on debugging and repair capabilities.
  • Basic electrical and control systems literacy (PLC/SCADA knowledge is a plus).
  • Problem-solving orientation and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Safety-conscious attitude and adherence to site safety guidelines.
