<p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>The Equine Veterinarian is responsible for providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive healthcare services for horses. The role includes diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, developing herd health programs, ensuring compliance with animal welfare standards, and supporting the performance and well-being of breeding, training, and competition horses.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Clinical Care</b></p><ul><li>Perform routine and emergency veterinary examinations.</li><li>Diagnose and treat medical conditions, injuries, and diseases affecting horses.</li><li>Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.</li><li>Perform minor and major surgical procedures as required.</li><li>Provide emergency and after-hours veterinary care when necessary.</li></ul><p><b>Preventive Medicine</b></p><ul><li>Develop and implement vaccination, deworming, and disease prevention programs.</li><li>Conduct routine health screenings and wellness examinations.</li><li>Monitor biosecurity measures and disease control protocols.</li><li>Advise on nutrition, conditioning, and overall horse health management.</li></ul><p><b>Reproductive Services</b></p><ul><li>Conduct breeding soundness examinations.</li><li>Monitor reproductive health of mares and stallions.</li><li>Perform pregnancy diagnosis and reproductive management procedures.</li><li>Support breeding and foaling programs.</li><li>Emporio operations (fresh/frozen).</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Diagnostic Services</b></p><ul><li>Collect and interpret laboratory samples and test results.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.</li><li>Monitor recovery and rehabilitation programs.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Performance Horse Support</b></p><ul><li>Evaluate horses for fitness and soundness.</li><li>Provide veterinary support for training and competition horses.</li><li>Work closely with trainers, riders, and stable management to optimize horse performance.</li><li>Advise on injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.</li></ul><p><b>Team Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate with farriers, trainers, nutritionists, and stable staff.</li><li>Train and educate staff on equine health, first aid, and welfare practices.</li><li>Participate in veterinary rounds and management meetings.</li><li>Provide guidance during emergency situations and disease outbreaks.</li></ul><p><br></p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2>

With a focus on horse welfare and rider development, the academy provides a professional environment supported by experienced trainers, veterinarians, and stable management teams.</p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced <b>Equine Veterinarian</b> to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive healthcare services for a prestigious Arabian horse operation. This role is responsible for ensuring the health, welfare, and peak performance of breeding, training, and competition horses while supporting all aspects of reproductive and herd health management.</p><p>The successful candidate will be responsible for:</p><ul><li>Performing routine, emergency, and preventive veterinary examinations.</li><li>Diagnosing and treating equine illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.</li><li>Developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing surgical procedures when required.</li><li>Establishing and managing vaccination, deworming, disease prevention, and biosecurity programs.</li><li>Advising on nutrition, conditioning, rehabilitation, and overall horse health management.</li><li>Managing reproductive health programs, including breeding soundness examinations, pregnancy diagnosis, mare and stallion fertility management, foaling support, and fresh and frozen embryo operations.</li><li>Collecting and interpreting diagnostic samples, laboratory results, and imaging to support clinical decision-making.</li><li>Maintaining accurate medical records and monitoring recovery and rehabilitation programs.</li><li>Assessing horses for fitness, soundness, and competition readiness.</li><li>Working closely with trainers, riders, farriers, nutritionists, and stable management to optimize horse performance and welfare.</li><li>Providing veterinary guidance during emergencies, disease outbreaks, and critical care situations while educating stable staff on equine health and first aid practices.</li></ul><p><br></p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2>
