<p>The Dean of the School of Engineering & Computing provides strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to advance AIU s engineering programs. The Dean oversees academic quality, faculty development, accreditation, research and innovation, and operational effectiveness, fostering excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable growth.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Provide overall leadership and management for the School of Engineering and Computing, including faculty, academic programs, and operations.</li><li>Oversee all engineering and computing programs, ensuring academic excellence and market relevance.</li><li>Lead curriculum development, scheduling, program assessment, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning.</li><li>Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and performance management.</li><li>Promote research and scholarly activity across the School.</li><li>Maintain and engage the Industry Advisory Committee to align programs with industry needs.</li><li>Lead accreditation and quality assurance processes, including ABET and related frameworks.</li><li>Ensure accurate external communications, including the School s website and public information.</li><li>Strengthen industry partnerships, internships, and experiential learning opportunities.</li><li>Support laboratory infrastructure and academic resources development.</li><li>Represent the School in university leadership and institutional strategic initiatives.</li><li>Promote student success, retention, progression, and employability through data-informed leadership.</li></ul><p>Reporting Departments (If Applicable)</p><ul><li>Faculty in the School of Engineering</li><li>Administrative and program support staff</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate shall demonstrate experience in professional and academic positions, a strong record in teaching, and outstanding international academic achievements. <p>Dean School of Architecture & Design Classification: Executive / Academic Leadership Reports To: Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA)</p><p>The Dean of School of Architecture and Design serves as the chief academic officer, providing strategic vision and operational leadership for the School. The Dean promotes excellence in teaching, scholarship, and community engagement; supports innovative academic programs; and advances diversity in faculty and student recruitment.
