<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span>ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT Capitex is a specialist Financial Crime Compliance talent provider.<br> We are building a fraud operations team for a 6-month staffing engagement with a leading Kuwaiti bank's 24/7 digital fraud operations function.<br> This is a 6-month consultancy engagement with a defined delivery model: the first two months are delivered fully remotely, and from Month 3 the role relocates onsite to the bank's offices in Kuwait City for the remainder of the term.<br> Onsite presence in Kuwait from Month 3 is a firm requirement of the role, not a preference - please only apply if you are genuinely able and willing to relocate for the onsite phase.<br> THE ROLE You will be the analytical engine of the fraud operations team: turning alert, transaction and case data into detection improvements, management information and tuning decisions.<br> You will work under the bank's direction, alongside Capitex L1 and L2 analysts and a senior fraud investigator, and be the bridge between what the operation sees and what the detection estate does.<br> WHAT YOU WILL DO - Analyse fraud alert and case data to identify trends, emerging typologies, detection gaps and false-positive drivers.<br> - Support rule and threshold tuning on the bank's fraud monitoring platform - build the evidence base, model the impact, and document proposed changes for the bank's approval.<br> - Design and produce operational MI: alert volumes, disposition outcomes, SLA performance, fraud losses and prevented losses, shift-level throughput.<br> - Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting for the fraud operations leadership team.<br> - Support post-incident and thematic reviews with data deep-dives.<br> - Work with L2 and the senior investigator to convert case observations into measurable detection improvements.<br> ENGAGEMENT DETAILS - 6-month consultancy agreement with Capitex, with extension possible on client renewal.<br> - Competitive all-inclusive monthly consultancy fee, with an additional housing allowance during the onsite phase.<br> - Visa, work authorisation and payroll for the Kuwait onsite phase are arranged and sponsored through our employer-of-record partner.<br> - Laptop (Dell Latitude) provided by Capitex; client systems access configured by the bank.<br> Commencement is aligned to contract mobilisation - indicative start August 2026, confirmed at offer stage WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - 3+ years in data analytics within fraud, financial crime or banking operations.<br> - Strong SQL is essential; Python or R for analysis is a strong plus.<br> - Experience with BI/visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent) and building operational dashboards.<br> - Familiarity with fraud detection platforms and alert data structures (FICO Falcon, Actimize, SAS or equivalent) - enough to interrogate their output and support tuning.<br> - Ability to present analysis clearly to operational and senior stakeholders in English.<br> - Confirmed availability for an August 2026 start and genuine willingness to be onsite in Kuwait City from Month 3 to Month 6.<br></span> </div>

The successful candidate will provide technical oversight of instrumentation, automation, control, and SCADA systems throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases, ensuring reliable system integration and operational performance.</p><br><ul><li>Provide technical supervision of instrumentation, automation, control, telemetry, and SCADA system installation activities across complex infrastructure projects.</li><li>Review engineering documentation, instrumentation layouts, control philosophies, P&amp;IDs, loop diagrams, technical submittals, and construction methodologies.</li><li>Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and system performance verification activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.</li><li>Support factory and site acceptance testing, loop checking, system integration, and operational readiness assessments.</li><li>Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for instrumentation, control, and automation systems.</li><li>Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, process, and control systems.</li><li>Maintain commissioning records, technical documentation, defect tracking registers, and project reporting requirements.</li><li>Review as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover deliverables.</li><li>Provide technical support for troubleshooting, system optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><p>With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.</p><br><p>Suitable applicants will have/be:</p><br><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum 15 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, automation, or SCADA engineering on major utility, industrial, water, or infrastructure projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, telemetry, field instrumentation, control systems, communication networks, and integrated plant automation.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in testing, commissioning, loop checking, system integration, and performance verification of complex control systems.</li><li>Proven ability to review engineering documentation, control philosophies, instrumentation drawings, technical submissions, and contractor deliverables.</li><li>Experience coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces during construction, commissioning, and operational handover phases.</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical reporting skills with strong English language proficiency.</li></ul><p>Surbana Jurong Group is an equal opportunity employer.
