Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, analyzing maintenance trends, and documenting actions using automated systems. Technicians utilize various diagnostic tools, such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes, to repair mechanical and electronic systems. They also handle fluids, conduct corrosion treatments, manage hazardous materials, and prepare CSE for deployment. The role includes operating and servicing support equipment and tow vehicles, while adhering to safety, Tool Control, and Foreign Object Damage prevention standards at all times. Responsibilities SUMMARY The Common Support Equipment Technician diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Common Support Equipment (CSE); inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagram schematics, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, technical publications and maintenance actions. The Technician uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and document maintenance actions. The Technician analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs CSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools. Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical maintenance data sources. The Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CSE by inspecting, testing and operating CSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Services equipment with required fluids such as oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant and compressed air. The Technician also performs removal, disassembly, repair, cleaning, corrosion treatment, re-assembly and installation of malfunctioning CSE accessories and components. As well as stenciling and marking CSE, storing, handling, labeling, using and disposing of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. The Technician prepares CSE for preservation and mobility deployment. The Technician operates, cleans, inspects and services all assigned support equipment, to include towing vehicles such as Bobtail Ford trucks, Tow Tractors (Tug), and U-30 aircraft tow vehicle. In addition to performing inspections and maintenance, the technician practices good housekeeping, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Performs diagnosis and corrective actions, disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs according to publication/technical instructions and technical directives on all required support equipment. Determines requirements for repairs, modifications, and part replacements. The role involves conducting comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized and play-based tools, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering individual and group interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family counseling, and equipping parents and caregivers with behavior-management strategies, communication techniques, and home-based support.
