<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Carry out general activities related to lifting, rigging & slinging of all loads lifted and moved by cranes and other lifting equipment, housekeeping, chipping, painting and repair of equipment in a proper & timely manner to ensure a safe & efficient operation.</p><p><strong>Roles & Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>General duties:</strong> Performs general duties in such a manner which results in achieving the operating plan and objectives set forth by the Driller and STP that includes Safety, operating expectation and rig appearance and housekeeping. Assists other rig departments such as the drilling crew on rig floor, welder, Maintenance Team, etc.</p><p><strong>Lifting Operations:</strong> Hook on loads for the crane and forklift operators and act as a banksman when required. Assist crane and forklift operators in off-loading and loading all drilling materials and supplies as required. Comply and apply safe rigging & slinging practices, from pre-lift requirements, wire inspections, correct use of taglines, proper use of hands-free tools and body placements, and the use of verbal and hand signaling methods.</p><p><strong>Rig Move:</strong> Carry out relevant duties and activities to prepare for rig moves as directed by the Driller.</p><p><strong>Drilling / Work-over Operations:</strong> Assists in operations for preparing drilling mud activities including mixing chemicals at the mixing hopper, cleaning out mud pits, etc. Assist in completing the cleaning, preparation and handling of tubulars and drilling tools. Supply the drill floor with tubulars, drilling tools and equipment as required. Liaise and co-operate with the Driller and Assistant Driller to ensure the safe and smooth running of operations.</p><p><strong>Materials & Equipment:</strong> Ensures that lifting material and equipment are properly maintained, stored, inspected, and returned to its proper storage location in a condition where its ready to be used as per directed. Ensure thread protectors are properly installed on drill pipes, drill collars & crossovers that are being hoisted or stored.</p><p><strong>Housekeeping:</strong> Ensures that the work area is clean and organized, free of hazards prior to & upon completing the work tasks, or repairs. Ensure that housekeeping standards in all areas are in accordance with Company requirements. Disposes of debris as per the company hazardous material segregations policy/waste management policy taking into consideration the environmental & safety aspects. Prepare surfaces for painting and apply paint as directed. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, analyzing maintenance trends, and documenting actions using automated systems. Technicians utilize various diagnostic tools, such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes, to repair mechanical and electronic systems. They also handle fluids, conduct corrosion treatments, manage hazardous materials, and prepare CSE for deployment. The role includes operating and servicing support equipment and tow vehicles, while adhering to safety, Tool Control, and Foreign Object Damage prevention standards at all times. The Technician prepares CSE for preservation and mobility deployment. The Technician operates, cleans, inspects and services all assigned support equipment, to include towing vehicles such as Bobtail Ford trucks, Tow Tractors (Tug), and U-30 aircraft tow vehicle. In addition to performing inspections and maintenance, the technician practices good housekeeping, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times. Responsibilities Job Details / Position Summary The Aviation Support Equipment Technician diagnoses malfunctions repairs and maintains Support Equipment (SE); inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; troubleshoots discrepancies by studying drawings, wiring diagram schematics, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, technical publications and historical maintenance actions. The Technician uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and document maintenance actions. <p>Job Purpose The Data Center Mechanical Engineer owns the mechanical and cooling infrastructure of the data center at engineering level, from the central cooling plant through to the data hall cooling environment. The role is responsible for mechanical maintenance strategy, system reliability, operational procedures, environmental performance, vendor management, safety compliance, spare-parts planning, and emergency response. The Mechanical Engineer directs the Mechanical Manning Technicians, authorizes equipment changeovers and critical maintenance activities, approves mechanical procedures, and acts as the mechanical technical authority during incidents and operational escalations.</p><p>Key Responsibilities and Areas of Ownership</p><ul><li>Take engineering ownership of the data center mechanical and cooling Responsible for operating and maintaining power generation and aircraft arresting systems in accordance with the performance work statement. Operation and maintenance services inlude, but are not limited to: catapults, arresting gear, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems involved primarily in aircraft takeoff and landing operations. Duties include installing and maintaining visual landing aids; testing and maintaining launch and recovery equipment using electric and mechanical test equipment and hand tools; activating airfield arresting systems, such as crash barriers and cables, during emergency landing situations; directing aircraft launch and recovery operations using hand or light signals; and maintaining logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance. Provide operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of power generation systems and equipment such as diesel generators and light carts. Responsibilities + Installs, removes, and operates electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, aircraft arresting systems, and associated equipment. Checks equipment for serviceability. Positions equipment such as gasoline and diesel engines, generators, switchgears, air compressors, and other power generating auxiliary equipment. Installs, positions, rewinds, and pretensions aircraft arresting systems. Certifies aircraft arresting systems as required. Checks installed equipment to ensure compliance with publications, policies, and directives. Inspects, tests, and services component systems such as safety, fuel, lubrication, cooling, air pressure, pumps, regulators, governors, and accessory equipment. Observes and interprets instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, synchro scopes, automatic temperature and pressure recorders, and engine oil, fuel, and coolant gauges. Adjusts engine generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and synchronization. Synchronizes multiple generators. Operates high and low voltage switches, circuit breakers, rheostats, and other controls on switchgear and distribution panels. Performs electrical power control and distribution functions. + Maintains, modifies, and repairs electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, aircraft arresting systems, and associated equipment. Performs inspections and interprets findings to determine corrective action. Identifies and records engine and generator malfunctions. Uses precision test equipment, troubleshoots malfunctions, and inspects parts for excessive wear and other conditions. Removes, repairs, and replaces defective power generating equipment components. Performs corrosion control. Inspects and replaces gauges and meters. Maintains aircraft arresting systems, including electrical, hydraulic, rewind, and pneumatic systems, and other electronic components. Bench checks components and subassemblies. Tests and calibrates repaired items. Reviews performance data and maintenance records to determine adequacy of maintenance. Interprets data related to electrical power generating and aircraft arresting systems to ensure overall mission success. + Maintains records. Posts entries on operation, inspection, and maintenance records. Records meter readings, wear and alignment measurements, fuel consumption, and other data in performance logs. Furnishes information for reports and recommends changes to correct defective equipment or improve operating procedures. Complies with environmental policies. + Ensure all work areas and equipment are kept clean, orderly and in a safe manner. + Performs quality and safety self-inspections. + Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools). + Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: + Prior military service of AFSC 3E072, Power Production Journeyman + Must be MAAS/BAK-12 Factory Trained & Certified + High school diploma or equivalent. + Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport and Driver’s License (able to drive manual transmission). + Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment. + Must have the capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license. + Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge. + Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc. + Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DOD provided protective gear. Experience: + Must have four years of experience in operation and maintenance of BAK-12 aircraft arresting systems and completed factory training on Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS)/BAK-12. + Shall have knowledge of principles of electronics and electricity including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution and utilization. + Must have three years of experience operating and maintaining prime power spot generators and backup generators. Skills: + Must be capable of giving and receiving instructions. + Must be fluent reading and speaking English. + Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements. + Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred. Other Requirements: + Work will be outdoors and indoors. Work in extreme outside temperatures reaching 115 degrees and winds reaching 30mph may be required. Exposure to cold, dust, noise, and chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
