Position Overview: The QHSE Superintendent is responsible for leading the implementation of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across the deep drilling land rig operations. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety: Lead implementation of the company's HSE Management System at drilling rig sites. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, client HSE requirements, and company procedures. Conduct regular rig inspections, audits, and management site visits. Facilitate Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Toolbox Talks, and Permit to Work (PTW) compliance. Monitor critical lifting operations, confined space entry, work at height, hot work, and pressure testing activities. Support well control safety initiatives and verify emergency preparedness. Participate in pre-spud, rig-up, rig-down, and rig move safety reviews. Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Promote proactive hazard identification and risk management. Incident Management: Lead or participate in incident investigations using recognized methodologies (e.g., ICAM, TapRooT, or 5-Why). Identify root causes and corrective actions. Track closure of corrective and preventive actions. Analyze incident trends and recommend improvements. Prepare incident reports for management and clients. Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions. Monitor waste management, spill prevention, and pollution control programs. Oversee hazardous waste handling and disposal. Conduct environmental inspections and audits. Lead spill response preparedness and environmental emergency drills. Quality Management: Maintain compliance with Quality Management System requirements. Support implementation of ISO 9001 standards. Monitor quality objectives and KPIs. Participate in internal and external quality audits. Verify compliance with drilling procedures, inspection plans, and client specifications. Compliance & Auditing: Plan and conduct internal QHSE audits. Support client audits and third-party certification audits. Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
