<p>The Aircraft Mechanic III performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of complex to extreme difficulty. Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Make entries in aircraft logs and records, and responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts. Plan, conduct, and supervise aircraft technical inspections. Compute basic weight and balance records. Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required. Ensure compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration. Provide lower level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies. Prepare evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities. <p>You will be the analytical engine of the fraud operations team: turning alert, transaction and case data into detection improvements, management information and tuning decisions. Qualifications Education / Certifications: - High School Diploma - Must be able to obtain/maintain the following required certifications/qualifications: - Aviation Gas Free Engineering (AVGFE) certification - Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) run qualification -“I” Level Battery Maintenance certification - Applicable Support Equipment licensing - Electric Shop &amp; Comm Nav (210 &amp; 220) Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification - Electric Shop &amp; Comm Nav (210 &amp; 220) Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) qualification - Corrosion Prevention and Control qualification - Confined Space Entry certification Experience: • Four years’ maintenance experience in the C-130J Avionics/Communications/Navigations specialty preferred.. • Must have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency. • Must have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs &amp; procedures). Specific Requirements: • Must be United States (U.S.) citizen, be able to read, write, and understand the English language • Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration. • Must be able to obtain and maintain at a Secret Security Clearance. • Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License. • Must be willing to follow Kuwait Labor Law policies and able to adhere to and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements. • Must be willing to administrate, maintain, and manage maintenance programs (ex. Tool Control, HAZMAT, FOD, MetCal, etc…) as required by local policies. • Must be willing and able to comply with all program functional requirements to include but not limited to: The performance of “I” Level maintenance functions in support of In-Flight Refueling Reel/system maintenance, NLG &amp; MLG Tire re-building, MLG Brake repair/rebuilding, Battery maintenance support, and Oxygen Regulator testing/repair. • Must be willing and able to deploy off-site as required to support Kuwait Air Force operations. • Must be willing to work flexible hours, to include day shift, night shift or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required. • Must have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and follow instructions when directed on assigned tasks. • Must have skills and aptitude to cross train and/or support other maintenance technicians in completing assigned maintenance actions, to include but not limited to: The performance and completion of daily inspections (including the ability to inspect/sign off on all associated aircraft maintenance/technician specialties), marshalling/recovering aircraft, fueling, towing, mooring, and conducting post flight procedures to ensure aircraft are properly secured upon completion of maintenance. • As a Subject Matter Expert, must be willing to perform in-depth research, troubleshoot, and perform “O” and “I” level maintenance functions on all applicable aircraft systems and components necessary to return aircraft to a Full Mission Capable status; this includes determining material requirements, researching part numbers, ordering, tracking, and receiving materials as required to facilitate aircraft inspections/repairs. • Must be able to communicate directly with the customer, pilots, air crew members, management, and maintenance personnel to gather and relay pertinent data/information necessary to ensure aircraft depart timely and launches are not delayed. • Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications—read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications. • Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations. • Must be able to overcome cultural differences and to think outside the box, innovate, and provide solutions to the many complex problems and obstacles associated with international contracting and desert climate operations. • Must perform as a team member, contributing to the success of the C-130J maintenance department. • Must be dependable and timely in managing assigned tasks, perform consistent quality maintenance. • Must have a proven ability to work independently with minimal direction. Material &amp; Equipment Directly Used Must have a working knowledge of and be proficient with (input and extract data) of computers, aircraft data debriefing and diagnostic software (DTADS), and maintenance information systems. Working Environment Environmental conditions are diverse and could range anywhere from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes in temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust and wind. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&amp;P) services, repairs and overhauls assigned aircraft and subsystems to ensure airworthiness. Uses technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repairs or replaces faulty components.</p><p>Operationally checks repaired or modified systems for proper operation.</p><p>Repair and replace aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and associated equipment.</p><p>Read and interpret manufacturers and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.</p><p>Examine engines for oil leaks and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions. Inspect turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks.</p><p>Test engine operation, using troubleshooting procedures and diagnostic test equipment, to identify source of malfunction.</p><p>Replace or repair worn or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment. Remove and install engine from aircraft.</p><p>Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.</p><p>Repair or replace defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.</p><p>Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.</p><p>May service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.</p><p>Knowledge of aircraft sub-systems, including maintenance parameter, systems operation, limitations, and technical orders.</p><p>Ability to become qualified and perform engine runs for the aircraft type they are assigned to support.</p><p>Ability to read, write, and interpret technical duties is required.</p><p>Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.</p><p>May specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies.</p><p>Perform other qualified duties as assigned.</p><p>Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.</p><p>Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.</p><p>Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.</p><p>Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.</p><p>May be required to carry, push or pull up to and may exceed 50 pounds.</p><p>May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to height of four feet and be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of 7 feet.</p><p>May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.</p><p>Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.</p><p>Must be able to distinguish color and judge three dimensional depths.</p><p>May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.</p><p>Must have minimum 20/100 near and far vision, correctable to 20/20.</p><p>Must be capable of living and working in a potentially hostile environment for an extended period.</p><p>May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>A valid (FAA) A&amp;P Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is Required.</p><p>Seven (7) years experience as an (A&amp;P) mechanic with Seven (7) years of specific C-12 / King Air (200/350/1900) Turbo-prop aircraft mechanic hands-on maintenance experience is Required.</p><p>US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for facility access.</p><p>Minimum Requirements</p><p>High school diploma or GED equivalent is Required.</p><p>A valid (FAA) A&amp;P Certificate is Required.</p><p>Seven (7) years experience as an (A&amp;P) mechanic with Seven (7) years of specific C-12 / King Air (200/350/1900) Turbo-prop aircraft mechanic hands-on maintenance experience is Required.</p><p>Completion of formal maintenance training on the assigned C-12/King Air aircraft, qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training is desired.</p><p>Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance, on the C-12/King Air Turbo-prop aircraft during the past 12 months is Required.</p><p>Six (6) months of flight line and overhaul &amp; inspection experience is preferred.</p><p>Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.</p><p>Mechanic Tools/Toolbox Required; mechanics must provide their own shadowed toolbox with each tool etched with PID. *(Company will ship toolbox to Kuwait).</p><p>A valid US Passport - is Required for deployment/travel to Kuwait; Passport must have a minimum of 18 months remaining before expiration date, must be able to obtain Kuwait Visa.</p><p>Must be able to pass and clear CENTCOM (CRC) Deployment Training and Army MOD17 Medical for Deployment. Ability to clear the Army MOD 17 Medical is required for Deployment to Kuwait, will occur while attending CRC (DIDC) deployment training.</p><p>May be required to travel to and between remote locations in austere and/or hostile environments, in support of mission operations. (AR95-20)</p><p>Mechanic Pre-employment Medical Requirements:</p><p>Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.</p><p>Security Clearance Requirements:</p><p>Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.</p><p></p></section>
