Responsible for operating and maintaining power generation and aircraft arresting systems in accordance with the performance work statement. Operation and maintenance services inlude, but are not limited to: catapults, arresting gear, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems involved primarily in aircraft takeoff and landing operations. Duties include installing and maintaining visual landing aids; testing and maintaining launch and recovery equipment using electric and mechanical test equipment and hand tools; activating airfield arresting systems, such as crash barriers and cables, during emergency landing situations; directing aircraft launch and recovery operations using hand or light signals; and maintaining logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance. Provide operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of power generation systems and equipment such as diesel generators and light carts. Responsibilities Major Responsibilities: + Installs, removes, and operates electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, aircraft arresting systems, and associated equipment. Checks equipment for serviceability. Positions equipment such as gasoline and diesel engines, generators, switchgears, air compressors, and other power generating auxiliary equipment. Installs, positions, rewinds, and pretensions aircraft arresting systems. Certifies aircraft arresting systems as required. Checks installed equipment to ensure compliance with publications, policies, and directives. Inspects, tests, and services component systems such as safety, fuel, lubrication, cooling, air pressure, pumps, regulators, governors, and accessory equipment. Observes and interprets instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, synchro scopes, automatic temperature and pressure recorders, and engine oil, fuel, and coolant gauges. Adjusts engine generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and synchronization. Synchronizes multiple generators. Operates high and low voltage switches, circuit breakers, rheostats, and other controls on switchgear and distribution panels. Performs electrical power control and distribution functions. + Maintains, modifies, and repairs electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, aircraft arresting systems, and associated equipment. Performs inspections and interprets findings to determine corrective action. Identifies and records engine and generator malfunctions. Uses precision test equipment, troubleshoots malfunctions, and inspects parts for excessive wear and other conditions. Removes, repairs, and replaces defective power generating equipment components. Performs corrosion control. Inspects and replaces gauges and meters. Maintains aircraft arresting systems, including electrical, hydraulic, rewind, and pneumatic systems, and other electronic components. Bench checks components and subassemblies. Tests and calibrates repaired items. Reviews performance data and maintenance records to determine adequacy of maintenance. Interprets data related to electrical power generating and aircraft arresting systems to ensure overall mission success. + Maintains records. Posts entries on operation, inspection, and maintenance records. Records meter readings, wear and alignment measurements, fuel consumption, and other data in performance logs. Furnishes information for reports and recommends changes to correct defective equipment or improve operating procedures. Complies with environmental policies. + Ensure all work areas and equipment are kept clean, orderly and in a safe manner. + Performs quality and safety self-inspections. + Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools). + Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements. Other Requirements: + Work will be outdoors and indoors. + Work in extreme outside temperatures reaching 115 degrees and winds reaching 30mph may be required. + Exposure to cold, dust, noise, and chemicals may occur. + Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. + Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. + Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. + Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Prior military service of AFSC 3E072, Power Production Journeyman + Must be MAAS/BAK-12 Factory Trained & Certified + High school diploma or equivalent. + Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport and Driver’s License (able to drive manual transmission). + Must have and maintain a valid U. S. <ul>
<li>Manages the drilling operation, operates, controls the drilling equipment, and ensures that drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and company policies.</li>
<li>Supervises and directs the drilling crew and provides guidance, assigns tasks, and monitors performance to ensure the smooth execution of drilling activities.</li>
<li>Monitors drilling parameters, adjusts equipment settings, and troubleshoots issues to perfect drilling performance.</li>
<li>Reports drilling progress, well conditions, safety incidents, and any deviations from drilling plans to Senior/Night Tool pusher and Client representative onboard and other relevant parties.</li>
<li>Ensures any deviation from client well plan is approved by Senior Tool pusher and Client representative.</li>
<li>Monitors 3rd party operations on the drill floor and other drilling related areas. Ensuring 3rd party personnel and sub-contractors use safe work methods.</li>
<li>Collaborates with Well planners, engineers, and other team members to develop drilling plans and strategies.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate records including drilling reports, equipment logs, safety records, tubular run in the hole including pipe tally, full BHA/completion components and critical fishing dimensions and drilling parameters.</li>
<li>Ensure that space-out drawings are correct and are posted in the driller's cabin.</li>
<li>Ensure that post-jarring sheet are filled out and understood.</li>
<li>Fill up a daily drilling report for the activities performed during his shift & update the pipe tally book and draft dimensioned drawings of the equipment run in the well to describe the work conducted.</li>
<li>Utilize drilling control equipment, monitor gauges and auxiliary tools, and promptly notify the Senior/Night Tool pusher and client representative of necessary actions to address potential issues such as, but not limited to, stuck pipe, flow back, and hydraulics.</li>
<li>Ensure the hole is drilled using good oilfield practice to the required depth, with adequate well control contingency in place.</li>
<li>Monitor any down hole irregularities such as kicks, pressure fluctuations, and abnormal torque. Take immediate action to secure the well in the event of a well control incident and promptly inform the Senior/Night Tool pusher and client representative.</li>
<li>Instruct subordinates to diligently monitor the pipe string for any irregularities during the process of pulling out of the hole and ensure that max overpull is known and approved by STP prior to pulling out of the hole.</li>
<li>Take charge of BOP installation including installations of auxiliary equipment such as hoses, guide wire, etc.</li>
<li>Pressure test Well Control Equipment as per Company and Regulatory requirement to ensure readiness and effectiveness in critical situations.</li>
<li>Monitor and control the mud activities to maintain proper mud volume, weight, and properties.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Equipment:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Report machinery and equipment deficiencies requiring repair or replacement to the supervisor.</li>
<li>Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure execution of maintenance and repair works.</li>
<li>Organize and oversee routine maintenance and repair of drilling equipment.</li>
<li>Conducting weekly checks on the derrick and substructure.</li>
<li>Perform daily visual inspections on various equipment in area of responsibility per Rigs daily check forms.</li>
<li>Provide instructions to the drilling team for the repair and maintenance of drilling equipment as per the planned maintenance system.</li>

<p><strong>Working at Heights:</strong></p>

<li>Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as per Company procedure.</li>

<p><strong>Housekeeping:</strong></p>

<li>Maintain all drilling areas in a clean and tidy condition by directing crew accordingly.</li>

<p><strong>Rig Move:</strong></p>

<li>Execute the rig down/up plans, through disassembling/assembling mast, travelling block, top drive, rotary table, mud tanks and ensure activities are followed efficiently and safely.</li>
<li>Ensure the rig up plan is available, and the new location was measured and marked and shall conduct a pre-task safety meeting together with Rig move crew to ensure plans are explained and illustrated clearly.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Client Management:</strong></p>

<li>Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other department heads, supervisors, operator's representatives, subcontractors, and all personnel on the rig.</li>

OCHA also ensures a framework within which each actor can contribute to the overall response efforts. OCHA's mission is to mobilize and coordinate effective and principled humanitarian action in partnership with national and international actors to alleviate human suffering in disasters and emergencies; advocate the rights of people in need; promote preparedness and prevention and facilitate sustainable solutions. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Humanitarian Affairs officer in OCHA’s Liaison Office in Kuwait, the Communications Intern will support related to humanitarian engagement with the Government of Kuwait and partners in country, as well as contribute to communications activities.
