Job Overview<br><br> JOB DESCRIPTION <br><br>The TCP Specialist – Wireline is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations safely and efficiently in support of customer well completion and intervention activities. This role provides advanced technical expertise in TCP systems, explosive handling, pressure control equipment, and perforating technologies while ensuring compliance with Weatherford operational procedures, HSE standards, and customer requirements.<br><br>Working closely with customers, drilling and completion teams, field operations, and engineering personnel, the TCP Specialist serves as the technical lead for TCP operations, ensuring equipment readiness, operational excellence, service quality, and successful project execution across onshore and offshore environments.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br> Plan, coordinate, and execute Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations in accordance with approved engineering programs, customer requirements, and Weatherford procedures. Prepare, inspect, assemble, test, and maintain TCP equipment, perforating guns, firing heads, setting tools, and associated downhole equipment. Ensure all explosive materials are handled, transported, stored, and utilized in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Conduct pre-job planning, risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and operational briefings before each job. Verify equipment readiness, certification, maintenance status, and documentation prior to mobilization. Supervise rig-up, pressure testing, execution, troubleshooting, and rig-down of TCP equipment at customer well sites. Monitor operational performance and resolve technical issues during well completion and perforating operations. Coordinate activities with customer representatives, drilling contractors, rig personnel, and other service providers to ensure seamless execution. Prepare accurate operational reports, service tickets, equipment records, and post-job documentation. Investigate operational failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage, preservation, and maintenance of TCP tools and explosive equipment. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Wireline Engineers, Field Specialists, and operators. Support new technology implementation, field trials, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with Weatherford HSE policies, customer standards, API requirements, and local regulatory requirements. Promote operational excellence, service quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all field activities. <br><br>Skills<br><br> Strong knowledge of Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) systems and completion operations. Minimum 5–8 years of Wireline experience, including significant hands-on experience in Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations. Proven experience supporting onshore and offshore well completion and perforating projects. Strong knowledge of pressure control equipment, perforating systems, and well intervention practices. Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification is preferred. Valid explosives handling certification or equivalent regulatory authorization (where applicable). Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, H₂S, First Aid/CPR, and medical certification are preferred for offshore assignments.
