Position Summary<br><br>To provide effective instruction in specific course(s) in the assigned Health Science subjects (Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Laboratory Science, Health Information Management) and in at least two or more specific areas of the assigned program/discipline to the second language learners within a student-centric learning environment to foster respect for students, their culture, and their traditions. To actively participate in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.<br><br>Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience. Reporting to the Program Coordinator of a Division, Adjunct Faculty provide effective instruction in undergraduate courses in respective discipline, covering regular program courses including capstone projects, work experience, and senior-level specialized courses. <p><strong>Faculty Position in US History</strong></p><br> <p>The Department of International Studies at American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates seeks to hire a full-time rolling-track faculty member in US History. Candidates whose scholarship and teaching focus on diplomatic history, American foreign relations, cultural diplomacy and transnational interactions are especially encouraged to apply.
