Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems with complex problems and extensive repairs. Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, and other related HVAC equipment but not limited to HVAC control and monitoring systems. Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex HVAC equipment air conditioning, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and associated auxiliary and control equipment. Works with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs. Reviews available plans, specifications, or drawings; determines the size, shape, and location of equipment. Performs design, modification, maintenance and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems located within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs)operations including sound baffling techniques/equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates. Produces classified technical documentation outlining in depth technical findings and recommendations. Provides design, emergency non-routine fault isolation of smoke removal systems, fire detection/suppression equipment used exclusively in critical, highly sensitive Military Forces installations. Performs system and subsystem diagnostics and scheduling and maintaining complex electronic environmental systems, calibration, and lubrication of unique components and controls that are used to provide and monitor precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies. Performs periodic, worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments. Provides expert technical assistance for a 24-hour operational environment with limited documentation resources. Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid fault isolation and resolution concerning environmental factors affecting ISR system performance to include developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts. Supports US Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments. Responsible for the full spectrum of maintenance operations; oversee Go/No-Go Testing of all government furnished equipment retrograded from the forward deployed sites for redistribution. Manages refurbishment programs for deep cleaning, upgrade, repair and configuration of IGX and other electronic systems. Directs and supervises Maintenance Support Teams (MST) supporting communication towers, telephony switching systems, and other communication systems. Manage field and sustainment maintenance to all strategic communications systems under the command of the 160th Signal Brigade, its subordinate units and the RCC. Monitors production for compliance with scheduling directives, cost factors, and standards. Develops performance standards, conducts employee counseling, and makes suggestions for formal and informal performance appraisals. Manages the calibration of Government Furnished Property (GFP) test equipment assigned to the Program. Directs, controls, and supervises antenna and tower maintenance in their respective countries, or areas they may be deployed too. Plans and coordinates scheduled maintenance visits for antenna/towers as required. Responsible for providing trip reports to the TLSF Manager as work is performed and completed. <p>Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the Digital Small Switch DSS-2A Monitor trunk and circuit outages as well as the administrative terminal and Enhanced Command Console (ECC). Perform direct trunk dialing checks over trunk channels associated with the switch to ensure satisfactory operation of voice circuits (at least once each shift and following any trunk failure). Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) on the switch and peripheral equipment. Conduct systems checks every 2 hours. Create and update databases in the administrative terminal using information received from users, Raytheon, and DISA. Perform database backups to CD-R discs. Perform database downloads to update switch configurations. Update and print out telephone console information and line strips for users. Fabricate custom interface cables using hand tools and wiring diagrams. Escort individuals requiring access to the Red Switch in the performance of their duties. Ensure that all outages are reported in a timely manner to the DISA GNOSC, NOC-K, TCF, V2X management for tracking in Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP) ticketing system. Provide hourly status updates to designated agencies regarding outages, etc. Annotate all activities in the Master Station Log (MSL) database.
