The DTE specialist will provide hands-on maintenance support and operational training on the repair of the Radar transmitter Battery Replaceable Units (BRU’s). Systems are computer driven and training will consist of both electronic and mechanical repair for the units under test. Working under a Patriot Test Station Lead, this position will require hands-on operation, maintenance and sustainment of the PAT 243 and PAT 247 Patriot test stations in support of Patriot Configuration 3+ systems. This will include operating troubleshooting and sustaining the coolant oil processing unit and Radar coolant group to ensure oil flow and glycol resistivity requirements are met for system unit operation. This will also include sustaining and troubleshooting converters, inverters and electric circuit’s assembly for the transmission system, by tracking signals and measuring voltage, current and resistance measurements to isolate problems to the component level on the Pat 247 test station. Functionally verifies the operational condition of the PAT 243, 244 and PAT 247 test stations to verify operational status. Demonstrates proper maintenance, sustainment, repair procedures and techniques. Participates in on-the –job training programs. Org. Setting and Reporting<br>The UN Secretary-General launched on 1 January 2019 a bold and new global reform which repositioned the UN Development System to deliver more effectively and efficiently with the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. As part of this reform, UN Resident Coordinator Offices (UN RCO), under the leadership of an empowered and independent UN Resident Coordinator - the highest-ranking official of the UN Development System and Representative of the UN Secretary-General at country level - support countries in the achievement of their development priorities and the attainment of the SDG's. In its Resolution A/RES/72/279, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the transformation of the Development Operations Coordination Office (DCO) as a stand-alone coordination office within the United Nations Secretariat. DCO exercises managerial and oversight functions of the resident coordinator system under the oversight of the Chair of United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG). In 2026, DCO undertook a recalibration to ensure the RC system remains optimally configured to support the acceleration of the 2030 Agenda and embodies the UN 2.0 shift- anchored in data, digital, innovation, behavioral science, strategic foresight, and a mission driven organizational culture. Noting that strategic partnership entails nonmonetary partnership and can be used to strengthen joint initiatives/advocacy with external partners towards a common goal, including that of advancing SDGs, the Partnerships Officer provides advice and support to the Resident Coordinator and the UNCT strategic partnerships for SDG achievement. The position is located in the United Nations Resident Coordination Office (RCO) in Kuwait City, Kuwait under the direct supervision of the Head of the Resident Coordinator Office.<br> Responsibilities<br>Within delegated authority, the Partnerships Officer will be responsible of the following duties: 1. WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE RESIDENT COORDINATOR OFFICE ECONOMIST AND OTHER UN COUNTRY TEAM FINANCE EXPERTS TO PROMOTE PARTNERSHIPS TO SUPPORT FINANCING FOR ACCELERATING THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs): • Provides advice on partnership opportunities to drive financing for development options, instruments, modalities to the RC/UNCT, in alignment with the Common Country Analysis (CCA), Cooperation Framework, Integrated National Financing Framework and similar processes; • Prepares briefing papers and discussion points on partnership issues related to financing for development for consideration by RC/UNCT; • Contributes to advocacy, communications and dialogues with partners to improve development assistance policies and practice; • Working in close collaboration with the RCO Economist, ensures effective engagement of relevant counterparts, especially private sector, civil society and development partners, to develop engagement and partnerships around SDG financing; • Undertakes the design and execution of innovative proposals to strengthen the UNCT engagement and reputation, and to generate greater financial resources in support of the SDGs. 4. <p><h4>Function:</h4>
<p>Provides training and advice for repair, calibration, and modification of the wide variety of complex precision measurement equipment utilized by the GOK activities. Provides technical and procedural advice and guidance to KAF personnel and other GOK personnel concerning metrology-related matters such as the repair, calibration, or modification of precision measurement equipment, the conduct of laboratory operations, and the resolution of customer measurement problems. Provides in-depth technical expertise in one or more of the following disciplinary categories and can provide on-the-job training or formal classroom training as required. Performs precision measurements, calibrations, modifications, maintenance and repair actions, and other functions as necessary in all areas of laboratory operations. <p>This DC/Low-Frequency discipline includes the following measurement areas: voltage, current, power, resistance, capacitance, inductance, time and frequency (500 MHz and below), and modulation. <p>Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration program, a precision measurement and calibration school at an accredited school, or within a specialized calibration firm, and twelve (12) years of work experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electronic TMDE such as analog and digital multimeters, electronic counters, function generators, signal generators, analog and digital tape recorders, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and calibration laboratory measurement standards. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting TMDE and measurement standards by making measurements with test equipment to identify problems at the component level. Demonstrated basic electronic construction and repair skills, including soldering and wiring, and the ability to perform these functions on delicate circuit cards.</p>
