<p><h4>Job Description</h4>
<p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>
<p>Member will perform and inspect organizational and intermediate level maintenance and modifications on RPA systems and support equipment, as required. This position requires an individual that can apply basic technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals/instructions or similar documents through the usage of test equipment/instruments to affect repairs.</p>
<p>Member will inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and other critical components to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants/trains, fuel systems, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.</p>
<p>Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.; diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks; test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft; adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories.</p>
<p>Perform aircraft services to include engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks. May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies. Recommend revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship.</p>
<p>USAF equivalent position is Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice.</p>
<h4>Essential Responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Performs all daily launch/recovery duties in support of operational requirements.</li>
<li>Applies logic and good judgment, understands basic technical order diagrams and procedures, and uses test equipment for analysis of airframes, engines, flight controls, pneumatic/hydraulic, fuel, electrical/electronic systems, and problems.</li>

May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies.</li>
<li>Must be able to work with little-to-no supervision.</li>
<li>Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.</li>

<h4>Minimum Requirements</h4>
<ul>
<li>Must have high school diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of actual aircraft mechanic maintenance experience required.</li>
<li>Must have knowledge of basic and complex mechanical maintenance and repair.</li>
<li>Must possess knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft mechanical maintenance.</li>
<li>Must know theory and principles of operation of engines, accessories and components, theory of flight and electronic flight controls, and have a basic understanding of applicable systems.</li>
<li>Must be able to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.</li>
<li>Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.</li>
<li>Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.</li>
<li>Must be able to deploy to forward locations (other countries) as directed by the government.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear military issued equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.</li>
<li>Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.</li>
<li>Must have had an active secret US government clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.</li>
<li>Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employment.</li>
<li>Must have current/active state issued driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line government driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must have valid U.S. passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank visa pages.</li>

<p>**Description** **Apache Instructor AH-64 D/E "W-TRS" : Ali Al Sale Air Base Kuwait.** **Job Overview:** V2X GTS has a requirement for an Instructor /Operator (IO) in support of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) in Kuwait City, Kuwait (Ali Al Salem Air Base). The IP provides Instructor & Operator (I/O) support, services and TADSS oversight required under W-TRS TDL 025 and reports directly to the in-country V2X-GTS Program Manager. The successful candidate must be a United States citizen, with proof of citizenship and a current U.S. passport. Standard work week is five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s). **Required Hours:** Standard work week will be five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s). **Responsibilities:** Provides (IO) support, services, and oversight for all KAF TADSS. + The Instructor/ Operator (IO) must be a trained and certified aviation educator, able to provide instruction and guidance on the AH-64 model D/E. + Instructor Operator provides advanced AH-64D/E flight instruction to student pilots in accordance with the Army Aircrew Training Manual. Prior to the training flight, the I/O will review the pilots’ flight planning for accuracy, critique/ instruct and answer any questions as requested. + Conduct debriefings and grading of the aircrew IAW the applicable Aircrew Training Manual. The I/O will also provide appropriate comments relative to the flight and written comments in the Individual Aircrew Training Folder (IATF) for instrument check rides and any other training/evaluation events requiring written comments. Repairs or replaces defective components.</p><p>Requests and maintains accountability for parts, tools, equipment and materials required for work performance and work assignments.</p><p>May be required to conduct both routine and emergency services after normal work periods.</p><p>Performs the majority of work in the sensitive and secure areas of military installations and facilities in accordance with the established security procedures of the U.S. Army and contract requirements</p><p>Responsible for safe operation, cleanliness and operator maintenance of assigned vehicle.</p><p>Prepares and completes requires work documents.</p><p>Complies with safety/environmental standards and safe work practices</p><p>Acts as Subject Matter Expert for the AOR fire alarm/suppression systems</p><p>Provides recommendations to the US Government for the need for new systems and repairs.</p><p>Performs other duties as assigned</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><h2>Minimum Qualifications:</h2><p>Education/Certifications:</p><ul><li>One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.</li><li>Must possess a Trade Certification/License in one of the following trades: HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and/or Mechanical.</li><li>Must possess a current Stateside driver's License unless otherwise stipulated</li><li>Ability to obtain host country driver s license.</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Associate's degree and minimum 5 years experience in one of the required trades. Examples include previous job descriptions, DD214 and Military/Civilian Performance reports, job experience letter on company or corporate letterhead from previous employers.</li></ul><p>Skills:</p><ul><li>Must have the ability to evaluate fire detection/suppression installations to determine corrective action.</li><li>Must have sufficient knowledge of English to understand technical instructions and documents and accomplish work from these documents.</li><li>MIRCOM PRO 2000, VESDA, and Chemetron Suppression Systems factory training desired (or equivalent).</li><li>Excellent organization and communications skills, both written and verbal, are required.</li><li>Must be computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office.</li></ul><p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Supervises a section of 11 technicians including required reporting and submission of inspection reports and required contract documentation.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions:</p><ul><li>Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.</li><li>Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).</li><li>Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements:</p><ul><li>Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</li><li>If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.</li><li>Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.</li><li>Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations.
