Responsibilities SUMMARY The Common Support Equipment Technician diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Common Support Equipment (CSE); inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagram schematics, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, technical publications and maintenance actions. The Technician uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and document maintenance actions. The Technician analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs CSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools. Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical maintenance data sources. The Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CSE by inspecting, testing and operating CSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. <p>The Service Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the service operation, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, workshop efficiency, service quality, and after-sales profitability.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage &amp; Lead the service team, manage workshop operations, ensure compliance with Principals standards, and continuously improve service processes and productivity.</li><li>Achieve agreed service revenue and gross-profit targets.</li><li>Manage the day-to-day operations of the truck service workshop.</li><li>Monitor workshop capacity, productivity, utilization, and turnaround time.</li><li>Lead and supervise Service Advisors, Workshop Supervisors, technicians, and support staff</li><li>Develop service packages and maintenance solutions to improve customer retention.</li><li>Identify opportunities for additional service business, including maintenance contracts and preventive maintenance programs.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with fleet customers and key accounts</li><li>Coordinate with the manufacturer/principal on technical issues and warranty matters</li><li>Continuously improving workshop processes, productivity, and efficiency</li><li>Coordinate closely with the Parts Manager to ensure availability of critical service parts</li><li>Support sales teams in presenting total after-sales solutions to customers.</li><li>Prepare regular service operation reports for management.</li><li>Maintain a safe working environment within the workshop.</li><li>Performing any other tasks as assigned by his direct Manager.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><p>Bachelor's/Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p>6-8 years minimum experience in commercial vehicle/truck after-sales, preferably with dealership experience.
