<p><span><span><strong>Job Overview </strong></span></span></p><br><p><span><span>Weatherford is seeking a skilled and results-driven Field Specialist III – MPD to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for optimizing MPD and drilling processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving profitability. The ideal candidate will work closely with country and regional team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Additionally, this role plays a key part in conducting Operations safely and with minimal interruption to drilling. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Supervise and control the entire drilling operation activities during the night shift, ensuring the successful completion of the well and drilling activities while liaising closely with Senior Tool Pusher or deputize for the Senior Tool Pusher when required. At all times considering the safety of personnel, the environment, and equipment to maximize drilling operation efficiency.</p><p>Ensures the safety of personnel, equipment, and the efficiency of operations on the drill floor and other drilling operation associated areas. Plans and schedules all drilling and associated activity. Directs personnel towards achieving optimum job performance according to the client s requirements. Ensures any deviation from client well plan (Game Plan) is approved by STP, and that Client representative has documented in written form, and that necessary management of change or deviation is approved in Synergi prior to operation starts. Consult with the STP and Client s Representative regarding the progress of the Drilling program and associated operations, keeping the driller informed about the ongoing drilling program objectives and communicating any changes in plans. Ensure that space-out drawings are correct and are posted in the drillers cabin. Overseeing that post-jarring sheet are filled out and understood by the driller. Relieve the Driller at the Driller s console as operational requirement demands. Ensures that all necessary equipment is ready for the next phase of the Drilling / Workover program and that necessary rig procedures, including JSA and PTW, are prepared on time and with good quality for the actual operations. Assists & supervises drilling crew at the location at all relevant times, ensuring circulating time is sufficient and the well is stable on trips, when the BHA is being worked and whenever there is a hole problem. Operates the drilling unit with strict adherence to company Drilling & Well Control manuals, by reviewing and approving all drilling related work permits.</p><p>Ensure that well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements - assist in supervising well killing operations in any well control situation. Plans & monitors comprehensive well control parameters to proactively identify any signs of well control issues for early detection and swift response. Maintains and regularly tests well control equipment, in accordance with Company s and Client s requirement, ensuring its readiness and effectiveness in critical situations. Perform all well control calculations (i.e., mud weight increase, initial and final circulating pressures, number of strokes, etc.).</p><p>To be part of the Rig s Emergency Response Team as detailed in the Emergency Plan and Company Procedures. Ensure that all personnel are instructed in the procedures to be adopted in the case of an emergency. Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment at location, including but not limited to engines, generators, pumps, compressors, cranes, and hydraulic systems, to ensure optimal performance of the rig. Survey the condition of all well control equipment in use each shift, report any system issues to the Senior tool pusher and raise corrective work order to manage the repair. Will inform by e mail both the Senior tool pusher and office based well control equipment superintendent of the equipment status so Contractual and API compliance can be assessed. Ensure that repairs, needed or made, are registered in the form of a work order in the company maintenance system. Carry out Planned maintenance work orders on time with good quality and record actual work done, inform Senior Tool pusher where access to perform work is not granted. Ensure Mechanical and Drill crew reference OEM manuals when carrying out PM or CM work on any rig equipment do not reply solely on the PM work instruction. Supervise the oil sample program and review the results, ensure work orders are raised to rectify bad samples. Spot check lubrication carried out by drilling crew for quality. Maintain and repair power plants and monitor power distribution ensure power is always available. Verification and inspection of third-party equipment and installations when required. Ensure new equipment installations on the drilling unit are managed by management of change Synergi case where appropriate as outlined in the ADES management system by highlighting the potential need to Senior Tool Pusher. </p><p><strong>Materials & Equipment:</strong> Plan and coordinate with the Senior Tool Pusher and other departments to secure equipment s and perform safety inspections prior to any operations or major activity such as rig moves, running & retrieving BOP. Ensuring that the appropriate mechanical requirements of the statutory and regulatory bodies including the classification society are adhered to and records maintained. Maintain inventory of spare parts, consumables, and supplies for mechanical equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities.
