The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated expertise in robotics and one or more related areas, including cyber-physical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), image processing, robot vision, and hardware-integrated systems. The successful candidate will contribute to excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, student success, and academic service while supporting the University's mission and continuous quality improvement initiatives.</p><br> <p><span>Key Responsibilities</span></p><br>

<li>Deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction in undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering and Robotics courses.</li>
<li>Develop and deliver engaging laboratory experiences that incorporate current technologies, industry best practices, and practical engineering applications.</li>
<li>Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of core Electrical Engineering principles across teaching and research activities.</li>
<li>Contribute to service teaching and interdisciplinary teaching assignments as required.</li>
<li>Coordinate assigned courses and ensure consistency in course delivery, learning outcomes, and assessment practices.</li>
<li>Develop, review, and continuously improve curricula, course materials, and assessment strategies.</li>
<li>Supervise undergraduate capstone projects, design projects, and research activities.</li>
<li>Maintain an active and sustainable research agenda through peer-reviewed publications, scholarly activities, and collaborative research initiatives.</li>
<li>Mentor students and support their academic, professional, and research development.</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively with faculty across disciplines in teaching, research, and academic initiatives.</li>
<li>Participate actively in departmental, school, and university committees, governance, and service activities.</li>
<li>Engage in continuous professional development to maintain expertise in emerging technologies, pedagogy, and research.</li>
<li>Support departmental efforts in preparing for, achieving, and maintaining regional and international accreditation standards, including ABET.</li>
<li>Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse learning environment while contributing effectively within a dynamic and fast-paced academic setting.</li>
</ul> <p><span>Minimum Qualifications: </span></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.</li>
<li>Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Professor in accordance with AIU's faculty appointment criteria.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in robotics, with particular strength in hardware-integrated systems.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of core Electrical Engineering principles.</li>
<li>Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.</li>
<li>Evidence of effective student-centered teaching and sound assessment practices.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and continuous program improvement.</li>
<li>Experience supervising undergraduate design projects, capstone projects, and student research.</li>
<li>Established research record with peer-reviewed publications and a clear, sustainable research trajectory.</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary academic environment.</li>
<li>Experience contributing to departmental, school, and university service.</li>
<li>Familiarity with regional and international accreditation processes, including ABET.</li>
<li>Experience working effectively with a diverse university community.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset but is not required.</li>
