<p><h4>Position summary</h4>

Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to be served. Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared. Inform food and beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items. Prepare special meals or substitute items. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks. Provide cooks with needed items. Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food. As a manager on duty, you’re not just overseeing hotel operations in the absence of the general manager – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.</p>
<h4>Here's what you'll do during a typical day:</h4>

<li><strong>Manage daily hotel operations:</strong> Oversee the overall functioning of the property, including front desk, staffing, room inventory, guest service, and policy compliance.</li>
<li><strong>Delight our guests:</strong> Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions, respond promptly to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a friendly, efficient manner.</li>
<li><strong>Assist across departments:</strong> Step in to support operational roles as needed, including bell service or front desk coverage during breaks or high-volume periods.</li>
<li><strong>Monitor the property:</strong> Conduct walkthroughs to assess safety, security, and service quality, addressing issues promptly.</li>
<li><strong>Facilitate team knowledge:</strong> Provide regular updates and training to ensure the team is well-informed of hotel offerings, services, and local attractions.</li>
<li><strong>Track and improve performance:</strong> Monitor guest satisfaction metrics (e.g., SALT, Revinate), identify trends, and implement improvements as needed.</li>
<li><strong>Inspire and develop the team:</strong> Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment.</li>

<h4>Job purpose</h4>
<p>The barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of food and beverages.</p>
<h4>Responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Perform daily operational tasks following the brand's established standards. This includes requisitioning product orders, setting up necessary products and equipment for service, and executing opening and closing procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure orderliness, tidiness, and smooth operations, and promptly notifying the manager of any observed discrepancies related to procedures, quality, or standards.</li>
<li>Address customer inquiries, complaints, and incidents positively, ensuring guest satisfaction through high-quality service.</li>
<li>Place orders for necessary items by coordinating directly or indirectly with suppliers, following established guidelines and product-specific requirements.</li>
<li>Complete weekly inventory of bar utensils, including recording wastage/breakage, and communicate findings to the manager. Monitor par and stock levels and maintain accurate log sheets (fridge and chiller temperature, vegetable sanitation, etc.).</li>
</ul>

Fluency in English.</p>
<p><strong>Specific expertise</strong><br>
Knowledge of different specialty drink items preparations is a plus.</p>
<h4>Education</h4>
<p>High school degree.</p>
<h4>Experience</h4>
<p>Zero to two years of experience in food and beverage operations, or a similar role.</p>
