<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><ul><li><p>Develop and execute test plans and test cases for new releases, enhancements, and patches.</p></li><li><p>Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate the readiness prior to production deployment.</p></li><li><p>Track defects and ensure timely resolution in coordination with development and vendor teams.</p></li><li><p>Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for new releases, system enhancements, patches, and configuration changes.</p></li><li><p>Perform functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, and end-to-end testing to validate system readiness before production deployment.</p></li><li><p>Test core banking applications and related banking systems, including customer accounts, deposits, loans, payments, transfers, cards, treasury, trade finance, and digital banking channels.</p></li><li><p>Validate transaction processing, financial calculations, interest calculations, fees, commissions, limits, exchange rates, and accounting entries.</p></li><li><p>Verify integration between core banking systems and external or supporting platforms such as payment gateways, SWIFT, ATM/POS systems, card management systems, mobile banking, internet banking, CRM, AML, and regulatory reporting systems.</p></li><li><p>Ensure that banking transactions are processed accurately across different channels and that all corresponding general ledger entries are correctly generated.</p></li><li><p>Perform API, database, interface, and batch-processing validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across integrated systems.</p></li><li><p>Test daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end banking processes, including End-of-Day and Beginning-of-Day operations.</p></li><li><p>Validate customer onboarding, Know Your Customer requirements, account opening, account maintenance, transaction authorization, and approval workflows.</p></li><li><p>Test role-based access controls, user permissions, segregation of duties, maker-checker controls, and transaction approval limits.</p></li><li><p>Verify compliance with internal banking policies, security requirements, audit controls, and applicable regulatory standards.</p></li><li><p>Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using the approved defect-management tools.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with development teams, application support teams, business users, vendors, and project stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.</p></li><li><p>Perform defect retesting and regression testing to confirm that fixes have been implemented successfully without affecting existing functionality.</p></li><li><p>Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, test coverage reports, and release-readiness assessments for management review.</p></li><li><p>Participate in requirement reviews, solution-design discussions, change-request assessments, and release-planning activities.</p></li><li><p>Review business and functional requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and testability concerns at an early stage.</p></li><li><p>Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test scenarios, assisting business users, monitoring execution, and documenting results.</p></li><li><p>Validate data migration, data conversion, reconciliation, and interface mapping during system upgrades and implementation projects.</p></li><li><p>Perform production smoke testing and post-deployment validation to confirm that critical banking services are operating correctly.</p></li><li><p>Support root-cause analysis for production incidents and recommend preventive testing measures.</p></li><li><p>Maintain testing documentation, traceability matrices, test evidence, defect records, and sign-off documentation for audit and compliance purposes.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to test automation initiatives for repetitive regression scenarios, critical banking transactions, and high-volume test cases.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all testing activities are completed according to approved project timelines, quality standards, change-management processes, and release-governance procedures.</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p><strong>Mandatory Requirement:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Hands-on experience testing banking applications is mandatory, with a strong understanding of banking systems, business processes, and software testing best practices.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Minimum years of experience</strong> – 3+ years</p><p></p></section>
