<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> What you will be doing<br><br> * Create “sample” and “mood products” to visualize design concepts.<br> * Give advice on material, furniture and fabric costs and benchmark product options.<br> * Collaborate with interior designers and architects by providing material selection recommendations.<br> * Offer alternatives and insights based on your knowledge of different materials.<br> * Organise and maintain samples, catalogues, and resources related to interior design and architectural materials.<br> * Set costs and project fees according to the budget.<br> * Work closely with Interior Designers, architects, graphic designers, clients and contractors on design options, materials, samples and catalogues to assist selections.<br> * Work closely with interior designers, architects, and graphic designers and co-ordinate with clients and contractors as required.<br> * Responsible for curating and coordinating materials, furniture, fabric, and architectural elements used in interior design and architecture projects.<br> * Research and make suggestions on materials and product sourcing.<br> * Oversee industry representative visits for materials and launches.<br> * Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans.<br> * Maintain organized records throughout the project lifecycle.<br> * Develop and maintain a network of supplier contacts to create a library of materials.<br> * Define project requirements and schedules during the initial briefing.<br><br><br>Required Experience<br><br> * Proven working experience in interior and architectural spaces including consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions.<br> * Design firm / consultant experience.<br> * Dealt with suppliers to Interior Design / architecture functions.<br> * Excellent portfolio highlighting previous works.&nbsp;<br><br><br>Education<br><br> * Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or similar field.<br><br><br>Certifications &amp; Memberships<br><br> * Additional training courses, professional and personal development with membership to professional groups, societies or institutes, desired.<br> * Training or certification in pavement design tools like AASHTO Ware Pavement ME Design or equivalent software is Preferable.<br> * LEED certification, desired.<br> * WELL Certification, desirable.<br><br>Essential Skills<br><br> * Creative, imaginative and with an eye for design. &nbsp;<br> * Detail minded ensuring quality work.&nbsp;<br> * Strong communication skills, ability to present.<br> * Able to Project manage, to deliver to quality and time.<br> * Organisational skills to handle multiple stakeholders and work demands.<br> * Process orientated to follow and uphold guidelines, standards, and requirements.<br> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2> <div data-jb-field="skills">About the Role<br><br> * The primary role and responsibilities are to carry out activities to support material library management (interior design, architectural and graphics design) by assisting interior designers and architects with a variety of project related tasks, keeping up to date of and communicating current design, material and furniture trends, administering project archiving and storage standard processes and being a resource for all project teams.<br> </div>
