Reporting any leaks, abnormal readings, vibrations or sounds to the shift supervisor as soon as possible and leakage shall be treated as a fire risk and dealt with immediately. Lubricate moving parts such as gears, shafts, and bearings on engines and auxiliary equipment. Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on the engine room equipment and machinery as directed. Assist with repairs to engines and equipment.
