Job description:<br><br> What you will be doing Understand the project requirements, scope of work, project delivery schedule, project deliverables, etc. Develop a thorough understanding of client design requirements prior to the commencement of designproject. Coordinate with the Lead / Senior ELV Engineer for further clarifications on design requirements. Share the heat dissipation calculation with the Lead/Senior ELV Engineer. Revise the report based on client’s comments (if required). Share the electrical load requirements with the Lead/Senior ELV Engineer. Review data collection drawings / documents about the existing utilities around the project. Respond to site RFIs related to design. Review the drawings prepared by the modelers and ensure that all the client’s and authorities’requirements are respected. Also ensure that all the contractual obligations are followed. Maintain continuous quality control on all drawings produced under the section, ensuring that they adhereto PACE quality and CAD standards (e.g., high standards of visual presentation, error free, properlydimensioned, x-referenced etc.) Ensure that ELV Model is shared every Thursday as per Pace protocol with all the discipline working on theproject for coordination. Coordinate the major space requirements for the ELV services such as but not limited to MOC Room, Main Server Room, Security Control Room, IDF rooms, etc. with the project Architects. Assist in conducing site surveys (as and when required) to investigate the layout of existing ELV systemsprior to design. Assist on site ELV engineers by responding to technical queries which they raise. Attend project coordination workshops, and site visits during the project design and implement theoutcome of the same in the design. Based on the approved concept design, prepare the scheme for the ELV services for the project. Brief the same to the ELV Modelers and guide them for modelling the ELV services for the project. Based on the received information’s prepare the design and layout plans for ELV systems. Coordinate with HVAC Engineer for smoke zones used in the project and ensure that the Fire Alarm Zoneare in line with the smoke zones. Coordinate with team members effectively to ensure that all projects progress as planned in order not tocause project delays or budget over runs. Coordinate with the Architects and receive the area schedules and other project information. Ensure all the project deliverables are fulfilled during the different project submission stages. Prepare calculations and electrical load requirement for the ELV Systems. Prepare concept narrative report. Coordinate with Architects for the ELV services space requirements in the project. Assist site staff in verifying sample materials submitted by contractors (as and when required) to ensurecompliance against ministerial requirements and specifications. Attend site visit as required. Required Experience 5+ years Experience in designing ELV Systems. Awareness of Local and International Guidelines/ Codes/ Regulations for ELV Systems. Knowledge of Local and International codes such as KFF (local civil defence), GCC codes & regulations and NFPA. Knowledge of building managment system design Full knowledge of preparation of technical specification for ELV systems. Basic Knowledge in Auto CAD and Revit. Previous experience in value engineering study to ELV systems. Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously in a similar environment. Working knowledge of MS Office. Cad, Revit software. Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Professional certification or relevant ELV certifications will be an advantage. Ensure EPC contractors establish and maintain statistical data concerning all matters of health and safety, training programs with which to provide a basis for development of further health and safety activities, to highlight trends for future action. Monitor compliance with all Kuwait legislative requirements including the dissemination of information to PMC and EPC managers and employees regarding amendments/ additions to requirements as they come into effect. Review EPC contractor Safety Management System and advise of required changes. Visit the project site on a regular basis to ensure interest and awareness of HSE is maintained, conduct regular safety talks and safety training sessions relative to the nature of activities being undertaken. Other key activities shall include but not be limited to the following:Pro-actively visit site and with the EPC contractor implement safety measures- promote/ensure safe work practices. Ensure quality safety observation program is implemented and maintained on each site/project and ensure follow up on findings. Assist EPC contractor construction management personnel in identifying hazards and in planning and organizing the work such that a safe working environment is maintained. Assist EPC sub-contractor Safety advisors and site management in the development and revision of specific site safety programmers. Maintain a HS&E audit and assessment program for the location. Carry out regular inspections of the work areas with the respective EPC contractor line manager and or HSE representative and prepare reports. Disseminate safety information throughout the workplace via bulletin boards, posters, newsletters etc. Assist EPC contractor line management and or construction supervisors in accident investigation process and report accordingly. Develop and implement safety initiatives to continually improve, achieve and maintain stated safety performance and objectives. Ensure HSE safety inductions are undertaken in accordance with the EPC contractor SMS requirements for all new employees of the company and its subcontractors Monitor the availability and use of safety apparel and equipment. Provide advice to the EPC subcontractor supervision on the development of project specific procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) training,Advise subcontractor supervisory staff and employees in the implementation of strategies to identify and control potential hazards and in the use of the hierarchy of controls Ensure all lines of communication on HSE-matters remain open and effective between all parties particularly KOC, Worley Parsons, EPC contractors and their subcontractors.<br><br>Qualification<br><br>Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Fire & Safety, Environment, Production, Industrial, Electrical, Instrumentation or Civil.) Job Summary<br><br> JOB DESCRIPTION <br><br>The Application Engineer assists customers by identifying the best solution for their application, offers and sells complete product solutions from the Flow Controls portfolio, provides commercial and technical support to customers, and strives to deliver the highest standards of customer service while working closely with peers, Outside Sales, Service Engineers, Business Managers, and other stakeholders.<br><br>The Application Engineer will be based in Kuwait or Qatar. Key customers include NOC, Dolphin Energy, QAFCO, QChem, QELNG, and QE in Qatar, as well as KOC, KNPC, and Equate in Kuwait.<br><br>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:<br><br>Provide Applications Engineering, technical, and pricing support to customers in Qatar and Kuwait, including technical presentations and site walkdowns. Perform sizing and selection of control valves and other FCV products, review project specifications, and prepare deviation lists. Prepare customer quotations that are timely, technically accurate, commercially verified, and offer the best overall solution. Conduct direct customer technical sales calls, order closeouts, site walkdowns, and prepare associated reports. Coordinate with GIS and Engineering teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions for severe-service applications and complex products. Present detailed technical solutions and recommendations to customers. Follow up on quotations with customers and the outside sales team until purchase orders are secured. Ensure purchase orders are commercially and technically compliant before order entry and process error-free orders to the appropriate factories. Coordinate with Project Management, Order Entry, and Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) teams to provide clean orders to factories and support customers with post-order documentation and requirements. Collaborate with the Flow Control Sales Manager and Application Manager to achieve sales targets and departmental KPIs. Maintain records and information within Emerson systems and tools, including Share Point and CRM platforms. Ensure compliance with Emerson Trade Compliance, Quality Management procedures, and Ethics policies. Stay current with product developments, industry trends, and market requirements.<br><br>Who You Are<br><br>Experienced in control valve products, applications, and Fisher sizing and selection tools. Experienced in selling control valve products and services to hydrocarbon, chemical, and petrochemical end users. Knowledgeable in industrial standards related to control valve design, manufacturing, and testing processes.<br><br>For This Role, You Will Need<br><br>Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the process control industry, including control valve products and applications.
