<p><h4>Job Description</h4>
<p>The C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) services, repairs, and overhauls assigned aircraft and subsystems to ensure airworthiness. Uses technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repairs or replaces faulty components.</p>
<p>A valid (FAA) A&P Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required.</p>
<p>Seven (7) years’ experience as an (A&P) mechanic with seven (7) years of specific C-12/King Air (200/350/1900) turbo-prop aircraft mechanic hands-on maintenance experience is required.</p>
<p>US citizenship is required to obtain a US government secret security clearance and for facility access.</p>
<p>Operationally checks repaired or modified systems for proper operation.</p>

<p>Read and interpret manufacturers and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.</p>
<p>Examine engines for oil leaks and listen to operating engines to detect and diagnose malfunctions. Inspect turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks.</p>
<p>Test engine operation, using troubleshooting procedures and diagnostic test equipment, to identify source of malfunction.</p>
<p>Replace or repair worn or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment. Remove and install engine from aircraft.</p>
<p>Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.</p>
<p>Repair or replace defective engine parts and reassemble and install engine in aircraft.</p>
<p>Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.</p>
<p>May service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.</p>
<p>Knowledge of aircraft sub-systems, including maintenance parameters, systems operation, limitations, and technical orders.</p>
<p>Ability to become qualified and perform engine runs for the aircraft type they are assigned to support.</p>
<p>Ability to read, write, and interpret technical duties is required.</p>

<h4>Mechanic Pre-employment Medical Requirements (AR95-20)</h4>

Provide technical inputs to managers in matters of weapons management, inventory, and maintenance, loading, and armament systems. Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to support emerging customer requirements. USAF equivalent position is Munitions/Weapons Technician Apprentice. Essential Responsibilities: Perform basic work in the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Perform basic maintenance modification, destruction and demilitarization on ammunition and explosive components. Operate basic computer hardware and software/utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures. Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction. Assist in management of all inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment. Support quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs. Provide technical inputs to management in matters of weapons management, inventory, maintenance, loading, and armament systems. Maintain weapons certification and currency. Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to support and meet customer requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Must have High School diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum. Minimum of one year of actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience required. Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent. Must possess basic knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft maintenance. Must be able to perform Increment Monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo Must be able to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment. Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed. Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment. Must be able to Deploy to Forward Locations (other countries) as Directed by the Government. Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance. Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employment. Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date. Must have current/active State Issued Driver s License. Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line Government Driver s License. Must have valid U.S. Passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages. Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster.
