<p>The Mechanical Metrology Engineer is the resident expert in his field and, in conjunction with the Kuwait Senior Engineer, provides engineering/consultant services to the GOK. Conducts research and studies new equipment to ensure that the latest developments in technique and equipment are included in metrology planning for future acquisition. Assists in the development and implementation of a Metrology QA Program as required. Assists in obtaining and maintaining laboratory QA accreditation. Assesses requirements and develops new measurement techniques and approaches related to mechanical, electro- mechanical, optical, electro-optical, chemical, and electro-chemical calibration methodology. Also performs analysis and evaluation of equipment test and performance requirements, and prescribes calibration approaches, test equipment and servicing requirements necessary to assure measurement traceability. Directs, conducts and evaluates the development of calibration procedures for assigned equipment categories. Conducts liaison and coordinates with technical societies and engineering facilities of other countries to remain current with the state-of-the-art and new measurement techniques. Responsible for laboratory facility and related environmental control development, operation and maintenance. Coordinates with civilian contractor and military civil engineering organizations on all projects affecting metrology facilities to ensure timely completion. Acts as consultant to GOK military and ministries on matters pertaining to metrology facilities and environmental requirements. Includes qualification requirements D and E. OR; Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration school and twelve (12) years of work experience in the metrology and calibration field. Completion of a precision measurement and calibration school at an accredited school, or within a specialized calibration firm, and twelve (12) years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating physical/dimensional precision measurement equipment and calibration laboratory reference standards. I Five (5) years of experience in technical oversight and training responsibilities of calibration and repair technicians with three (3) years within the last five (5) years. Reporting any leaks, abnormal readings, vibrations or sounds to the shift supervisor as soon as possible and leakage shall be treated as a fire risk and dealt with immediately. Lubricate moving parts such as gears, shafts, and bearings on engines and auxiliary equipment. Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on the engine room equipment and machinery as directed. <p>The Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer specializes in Completions and/or Workovers. The Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer is responsible for well engineering and operations support for one or more completion, workover rigs or rigless completion operation including preparing Completion and Workover Programs and procedures and AFE's.
