<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> Company Description<br><p><strong>Archirodon</strong><strong>, </strong><strong>having earned its reputation as a reliable and respected international contractor for more than a half century in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) market, continues to create value to its stakeholders by executing complex EPC projects worldwide, in recognition of its superior standards of performance.</strong></p><br><p><em>We have an outstanding record in completing major Energy, Marine, Infrastructure and Defense &amp; Security projects&nbsp;around the globe&nbsp;and we pride ourselves on delivering over the years the kind of reliability and trust that the client has the right to expect from a major EPC contractor.</em></p><br><p>We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a resourceful <strong>Procurement Civil Engineer</strong> to join a top-qualified and knowledgeable Project Procurement Team in one of our projects in Kuwait.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><ul><li>Support procurement activities for marine and topside EPC packages within an oil &amp; gas environment, ensuring alignment with client specifications and approved procurement strategy.</li><li>Source, prequalify, and propose bidders from the approved vendor list, with strong focus on marine contractors, offshore fabrication yards, and specialized oil &amp; gas suppliers.</li><li>Ensure all Supplier Pre-Qualification and Technical Evaluations are conducted in full compliance with client procedures and project requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Marine, and Project Controls teams to ensure RFQ packages include complete technical, commercial, contractual, and HSE requirements with proper flow-down.</li><li>Prepare, issue, and manage RFQs for marine works (e.g., piling, dredging, jetty/pier structures, offshore installation) and topside materials/equipment, ensuring clarity and compliance.</li><li>Challenge and optimize procurement requirements based on market conditions, marine logistics constraints, and project execution needs.</li><li>Maintain and update the Project Procurement Plan, with particular attention to long-lead and critical marine/offshore items.</li><li>Interface with technical stakeholders and suppliers to manage technical and commercial clarifications effectively.</li><li>Participate in commercial, contractual, and schedule evaluation of bids, incorporating inputs from Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and Project Controls, with focus on marine and offshore execution risks.</li><li>Prepare and finalize Comparison Statements (CS), ensuring recommendations are technically compliant, commercially sound, and fully documented.</li><li>Identify procurement-related risks (logistics, marine operations, supplier capability, lead times) and propose mitigation measures.</li><li>Prepare, review, and obtain approval for Purchase Orders and Subcontracts in line with the authorization matrix and contractual requirements.</li><li>Manage all commercial and contractual correspondence, ensuring proper documentation and audit compliance.</li><li>Coordinate with Expediting, Inspection, and Logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, especially for offshore transportation, heavy-lift, and marine installation activities.</li></ul><br>Qualifications<br><ul><li>BSc / MSc in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Marine/Structural background preferred).</li><li>Minimum 8 years of Procurement experience in EPC Oil &amp; Gas projects, including at least 3 years in engineering/design environment.</li><li>Proven experience in marine and offshore projects (jetties, piers, dredging, offshore structures, or similar).</li><li>Strong familiarity with KNPC standards and procedures <em>(experience with KNPC is highly preferred; ADNOC/ARAMCO experience also valuable)</em>.</li><li>Demonstrated experience handling marine subcontractors, offshore fabrication yards, and specialized suppliers.</li><li>Solid understanding of contractual terms (FIDIC/EPCC), commercial evaluations, and risk management in large-scale EPC projects.</li><li>Hands-on experience with ERP procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).</li><li>Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain challenges related to marine/offshore works.</li><li>Excellent command of English (written and verbal).</li><li>Advanced computer literacy, especially in MS Office (Excel for commercial analysis is essential).</li></ul><br>Additional Information<br><p>Expat package is on the shelf, yet the real joy comes from being a member of smart and passionate teams, within an international leading EPC Group on a mission that matters. The role covers the full application lifecycle — requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and controlled enhancement — turning operational and field requirements into practical, secure, and maintainable digital solutions.</p><p><br></p><p>The position works directly with business departments across Operations, HSE, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to understand their processes and deliver working applications, automations, and reports. KDF operates Microsoft Dynamics 365, and the role provides day-to-day technical support to that environment alongside Power Platform delivery.
