Red Switch Technician I will be required to operate and maintain the DRSN facility in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Regulations and guidelines. Responsible for organizing and implementing system and office upgrades with Raytheon, DISA and local offices. Prepare and maintain DRSN facility in accordance with various agency checklist requirements such as Quality Control (QC), DRSN Security, DISA Performance Evaluation (PE), Communications Security (COMSEC), etc. Responsible for ensuring subscribers are trained on the features and capabilities of their phone instruments and are operating their DRSN phones within the prescribed security requirements. Responsibilities + Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the Digital Small Switch DSS-2A Monitor trunk and circuit outages as well as the administrative terminal and Enhanced Command Console (ECC). + Perform direct trunk dialing checks over trunk channels associated with the switch to ensure satisfactory operation of voice circuits (at least once each shift and following any trunk failure). + Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) on the switch and peripheral equipment. + Conduct systems checks every 2 hours. + Create and update databases in the administrative terminal using information received from users, Raytheon, and DISA. + Perform database backups to CD-R discs. + Perform database downloads to update switch configurations. + Update and print out telephone console information and line strips for users. + Fabricate custom interface cables using hand tools and wiring diagrams. + Escort individuals requiring access to the Red Switch in the performance of their duties. + Ensure that all outages are reported in a timely manner to the DISA GNOSC, NOC-K, TCF, V2X management for tracking in Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP) ticketing system. + Provide hourly status updates to designated agencies regarding outages, etc. + Annotate all activities in the Master Station Log (MSL) database. + Prepare call detail history reports for DISA and military personnel as directed. + Contribute to weekly reports with regard to your additional duties and other assigned tasks. + Complete individual timesheets on a daily basis. + Check the Regional Cyber Center (RCC) website for accuracy regarding authorized service interruptions (ASIs) and outages. + Initiate Quality Control checklists as they pertain to your additional duties. + Update training records as needed. + Update memorandums and technical drawings (including block diagrams and schematics) as directed. + Inventory Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and document DA Form 2653-R (each shift). + Work with military technical monitor(s), Special Security Office (SSO) and other Department of Defense contractors and civilians including local hires in support of the DRSN mission. + Interface with technicians from Outside Plant, DPW, FMO etc. regarding installations in support of the DRSN mission. + Coordinate with the Raytheon Help Desk for troubleshooting problems that cannot be resolved locally. + Contact the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Help Desk in order to obtain an RMA for processing Depot equipment repairs. + Performs other duties and assignments as required. Apply practical knowledge of wiring schematics of aircraft COM/NAV and avionics systems and the interpretation of technical data contained within those schematics and/or sources of maintenance data + Performs periodic special, hourly, conditional, and phase maintenance/isochronal inspections as required by Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIM)s, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC)s, manufacturer’s specifications, and all applicable directives, orders, and instructions as directed through Maintenance Control. + Removes, troubleshoots, inspects, reinstalls, and/or replaces aircraft COM/NAV and avionics components, radios, antennas, electrical wiring, and all other associated electronic components that support the operation and use of the aircraft systems/capabilities as directed by approved maintenance manuals/procedures and/or Maintenance Control + Interpret MIMs and all associated maintenance publications, orders, and directives to perform maintenance and use processes to document such maintenance actions, ensuring the accurate entry of data into the locally used computer database system. + Performs applicable “O” and “I” level battery maintenance functions as required per applicable maintenance manuals. + Performs required tasks associated with EKMS as directed by Kuwait Air Force and NAVAIR + Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions, to include cross-training in all required essential technical specialties, to facilitate the removal, inspection, repair/replacement, installation, and test procedures of aircraft component parts, survival equipment (life rafts, first aid kits, etc..), pneumatic systems, environmental control systems, fuel systems, avionics systems, and all associated aviation life support equipment, airframes, and power plants systems. + Inspect, control, and prevent corrosion of aircraft metals and system components using established and approved procedures. + Checkout and operate all necessary support equipment for flight line maintenance of established maintenance procedures + Conducts off station maintenance when required. + When necessary, perform other duties and functions critical to the support of the program. <p>EPP III Patriot Missile Generator Rebuild and HVAC Technician Kuwait Perform 3KW 150 KW Sustainment and field level maintenance to include EPP III Engine, Main Gen, and Control Panel overhaul, troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and services on all types of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems used by the U.S. Army. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Generator rebuild and HVAC Technician, the work you ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Worldwide Field Support contract for the U.S. Army. You ll play a crucial role in providing on-site technical and maintenance assistance, analyzing complex technical problems, and providing training to site operations and maintenance personnel. Perform overhaul, maintenance and sustainment support on 3kW to 150kW, 500 0hz generators involving installation and removal of generators from fixed and mobile locations, troubleshoots and repair alternating current (AC) systems, direct current (DC) systems, electronic control systems and other program logic controls, electrical wiring and accessories. <p>The Mechanical Metrology Engineer is the resident expert in his field and, in conjunction with the Kuwait Senior Engineer, provides engineering/consultant services to the GOK. Conducts research and studies new equipment to ensure that the latest developments in technique and equipment are included in metrology planning for future acquisition. Assists in the development and implementation of a Metrology QA Program as required. Assists in obtaining and maintaining laboratory QA accreditation. Assesses requirements and develops new measurement techniques and approaches related to mechanical, electro- mechanical, optical, electro-optical, chemical, and electro-chemical calibration methodology. Also performs analysis and evaluation of equipment test and performance requirements, and prescribes calibration approaches, test equipment and servicing requirements necessary to assure measurement traceability. Directs, conducts and evaluates the development of calibration procedures for assigned equipment categories. Conducts liaison and coordinates with technical societies and engineering facilities of other countries to remain current with the state-of-the-art and new measurement techniques. Responsible for laboratory facility and related environmental control development, operation and maintenance.
