<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Onshore, Kuwait We are seeking an experienced Wellsite Geologist to join our team on an onshore project in the Middle East. This is a critical, on-site role responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and technically sound geological operations that support real-time decision-making and optimize well delivery. As the on-site geological authority, you will work closely with drilling, subsurface, and service teams to ensure accurate data acquisition, sound interpretation, and effective execution of the well programme. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary geological representative at the wellsite, providing real-time interpretation of geological data and early identification of drilling hazards. Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of all geological data collected at the wellsite. Maintain clear, timely communication and data transfer between the rig site and onshore/office-based teams. Monitor lithology, formation tops, and drilling parameters to support casing/coring point decisions. Contribute to end-of-well reports, post-well analysis, and lessons-learned initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with company operational procedures, HSE standards, and industry best practices. Liaise with mud loggers, directional drillers, and other service providers to ensure integrated, high-quality operations.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>University degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.</li><li>Proven wellsite experience across both carbonate and clastic formations.</li><li>Working experience with Techlog / Petrel software.</li><li>Demonstrated skill in real-time pore pressure prediction (RTPP), with working knowledge of relevant RTPP software suites.</li><li>Strong understanding of drilling hazards (e.g., overpressure, wellbore instability, fluid losses) and their geological indicators.</li><li>Familiarity with LWD/MWD/ wireline data interpretation.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams under time pressure.</li><li>Willingness and ability to work on an onshore rig-based rotation in Kuwait.</li></ul><p></p></section>

This project emphases mainly on maintaining high-quality well logs data in a repository, preparing composite logs and the utilization of spliced logs in advanced geological workflows e.g., to estimate the Total Organic Carbon (TOC) from wireline logs using different methodologies etc. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with the customers to understand their specific challenges and provide innovative solutions that drive long-term value and success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a direct and expressive impact on both the customers’ achievements and AspenTech’s continued growth in the region.<br>Reporting to the Director of Customer Enablement (On-Sites - SSE), the Sr Principal Customer Enablement Specialist – Geologist will be responsible for delivering full-time, on-site support to one of AspenTech’s most strategic customers in the Middle East.<br><br><b>Your Impact</b><ul><li>Provide customer support service on a Well Log Data Management project utilizing AspenTech’s proprietary software for Formation Evaluation and Characterization that drives user engagement and sustains product usage.</li><li>Collect and consolidate well data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of well log data (field, processed, and interpreted) through detailed review and validation with data providers.</li><li>Oversee and validate petrophysical work, ensuring technical accuracy, timely delivery, and alignment with project objectives.</li><li>Apply advanced technologies and efficient workflows to enhance petrophysical data management and interpretation processes.</li><li>Generate final composite logs for all wells and prepare final LAS files containing all well log attributes.</li><li>Assist with troubleshooting of technical and/or petrophysical data related problems described by Customer using AspenTech’s proprietary software.</li><li>Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, recommendations and documentation to senior management and Customers.</li><li>Adhere to contractual obligations and communicate potential gaps to management.</li><li>Collaborate with other AspenTech functions to maintain and develop business opportunities.</li><li>Develop strong relationships with Customer, building an understanding of their business needs and challenges.</li><li>Work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and Customer on the Well Log Data Management project to ensure effective coordination and successful delivery of project activities.</li><li>Support the Project Manager and Customer in maintaining well data for newly drilled wells and integrating new data for existing wells into the repository.</li><li>Collect and consolidate well data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Maintain, update, and organize well data repositories for easy accessibility and long-term integrity.</li><li>Prepare and manage composite logs, ensuring alignment with project and operational requirements.</li><li>Support geological and petrophysical workflows by providing validated well log and related subsurface data.</li><li>Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures in collaboration with Customer.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, domain experts, and software specialists to optimize data management workflows.</li><li>Generate reports, summaries, and data visualizations to support exploration, production, and reservoir characterization studies.</li><li>Provide user support and training on well data management processes, best practices, and software tools.</li><li>Work with the Customer to troubleshoot and resolve any other issues related to the Well Log Data Management project.</li></ul><br><br>What You'll Need<ul><li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Petrophysics, Geosciences, Earth Sciences or related discipline.</li><li>A minimum of 15 years of industry experience as a Geologist, Petrophysicist, Well log Analyst or Geoscientist in the oil and gas industry.</li><li>Must have experience in well log data management (Well log conditioning, Splicing, QA/QC etc.).</li><li>Ability to work with large datasets, perform quality control, and ensure data integrity.</li><li>Have some experience in petrophysical evaluation, well logging techniques, reservoir characterization, and resource assessment. Particularly, have good understanding of Petrophysical topics like NMR, ECS, XRD, PNL, SONIC, LWD etc.</li><li>Proven hands-on experience with AspenTech Formation Evaluation software (Aspen Geolog) and/or other advanced petrophysical applications such as PowerLog, Techlog, DecisionSpace Petrophysics, or Interactive Petrophysics.</li><li>Any previous experience of information and / or document management system is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues and capability to prioritize tasks.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts to a variety of audience.</li><li>Ability to identify opportunities that create value for customers with a strong customer first mindset.</li><li>Ability to proactively take the lead in resolving complex technical issues and/or difficult organisational problems with an innovative approach.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities.</li></ul><br> </div>
