The WAN Engineer is required to be certified at the expert level in multiple disciplines of networks and security (e.g. CCNP/CCIE &amp; CISSP). WAN Engineers performs operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) for the RCC-SWA enterprise network infrastructure. WAN Engineers will ensure stability and provide daily support of a geographically dispersed Wide Area Network Infrastructure and are responsible for design, troubleshooting, optimization, administration, change management and technical documentation. Must have expert knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, VPN devices, and routing protocols. Responsibilities + Responsible for maintaining and operating routers and switches throughout the Southwest Asia Area of Responsibility.
