<p>Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the Digital Small Switch DSS-2A Monitor trunk and circuit outages as well as the administrative terminal and Enhanced Command Console (ECC). Perform direct trunk dialing checks over trunk channels associated with the switch to ensure satisfactory operation of voice circuits (at least once each shift and following any trunk failure). Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) on the switch and peripheral equipment. Conduct systems checks every 2 hours. Create and update databases in the administrative terminal using information received from users, Raytheon, and DISA. Perform database backups to CD-R discs. Perform database downloads to update switch configurations. Update and print out telephone console information and line strips for users. Fabricate custom interface cables using hand tools and wiring diagrams. Escort individuals requiring access to the Red Switch in the performance of their duties.
