<span><br>POSITION SUMMARY<br>Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building. Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers. Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.<br>Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. The Assistant Site Manager/Fuels OM&R Manager (ASM) is responsible for meeting the Fuels Systems operation, maintenance and repair work requirements according to the performance work statement to include scheduling of personnel, work supervision and quality control. The ASM shall provide management support for the whole work scope of Warm Base Facilities Maintenance, Exercise/Operations Support and Real-World Deployment operating support services as well. The Site Manager (SM)/Assistant Site Manager (ASM) team plans, monitors and controls all project activities through the use of functional area-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures Quality and Safety requirements are met or exceeded. Services provided shall include inspections, preventive maintenance, corrosion control and system operational analysis for Real Property, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Utility, Fuel Systems and Building Control Systems for Warm Base Maintenance Services in order to provide full operational capability within 7 days’ notice of an exercise at the base. If an exercise/operation is extended, the SM/ASM shall stand up operations to support MWR, billeting, custodial and DFAC services for inbound units. The ASM shall function as the SM in his/her absence and works with a Fuel Systems Technician to provide safe, efficient, accurate and environmentally responsible services and products. Responsibilities Major Responsibilities: + Responsible for oversight and performance of preventative and operator maintenance, repair and inspection to maintain all fuel distribution systems and equipment as listed in the performance work statement. Services include, but are not limited to: fuel spill response, operate all fuels equipment, perform diesel refueling for generators, light carts and heavy equipment and vehicles, perform diesel and aviation fuel receipt operations and track inventory, perform quality control of diesel; account for and ensure proper operation and serviceability of all GFP, tanks, bladders, hoses, and fuel servicing equipment to support minimum-notice exercises and contingency operations to be supported by USG personnel. + Responsible for assisting in the overall management, execution, and personnel supervision of Warm Base Operations Support functions as described in the Performance Work Statement. Such functions include, but are not limited to: inspections, preventive maintenance and repair and operations of power generation systems, electrical distribution systems, HVAC and refrigeration systems, communication manholes, water distribution system, waste water collection system, locksmith services, structural services, utility services, pest management services, heavy equipment/operator services, water and fuel systems, waste management, hazardous waste storage area, water/sewer systems, pavement, supply, minor construction work, customer service, extinguisher exchange, aircraft arresting systems, key control, bottle and bulk water delivery and distribution, light carts, and vehicle inspections. + Shall be located on site at all times during standard duty hours to oversee and perform all contracted operations and be available within four hours to meet with Government personnel as needed. Setting and Reporting<br>The UN Secretary-General launched on 1 January 2019 a bold and new global reform which repositioned the UN Development System to deliver more effectively and efficiently with the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of this reform, UN Resident Coordinator Offices (UN RCO), under the leadership of an empowered and independent UN Resident Coordinator - the highest-ranking official of the UN Development System and Representative of the UN Secretary-General at country level - support countries in the achievement of their development priorities and the attainment of the SDGs. This position supports the United Nations Joint Programme “Promoting Inclusive Employment and Empowerment” in Kuwait, a multi-agency initiative implemented by four Participating United Nations Organizations in partnership with national counterparts, employers’ and workers’ organizations and civil society actors. The programme brings together two complementary pillars: one focused on strengthening the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the world of work, and another aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s national response to substance use through rehabilitation and reintegration. The programme is designed to advance national development priorities and contribute to progress under the 2030 Agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. This position is hosted within the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (UN RCO) in Kuwait and under the overall supervision of the Resident Coordinator, or her designate, and with day-to-day reporting to the convening agency of the Joint Programme “Promoting Inclusive Employment and Empowerment”. In this capacity, the incumbent coordinates the preparation of consolidated narrative inputs and programme-level reports, drawing on submissions from implementing agencies and ensuring their quality, consistency, and timely circulation to the Programme Steering Committee and the donor.<br> Responsibilities<br>Within delegated authority, the Program Management Officer will be responsible for the following duties: •Serves as the primary coordination interface between the Administrative Agent (WHO) and the Convening Agent (UNESCO) of the Programme as well as the four Participating United Nations Organizations and the donor, ensuring coherent communication and alignment on programmatic and administrative matters; supports the establishment, organization, and effective functioning of the Programme Steering Committee, including the preparation of meeting agendas, documentation, and follow- up on decisions and action points . •Ensures systematic mapping of programme outcomes and deliverables against the relevant Sustainable Development Goals and their associated targets, establishing a clear line of sight between program results and Kuwait's national commitments under the 2030 Agenda under the umbrella of the UN Cooperation Framework; tracks and documents the program's contribution to SDG progress on an ongoing basis and ensures that reporting to the donor and the Project Steering Committee explicitly reflects this contribution; works closely with the Participating United Nations Organizations and government counterparts to position the program as a tangible vehicle for advancing Kuwait's SDG trajectory, and supports the integration of SDG progress data into national voluntary reporting processes where relevant. •Functions as the primary liaison between the joint program and relevant government counterparts and civil society organizations, fostering sustained engagement and ensuring timely communication of program objectives, priorities, and emerging developments; maintains regular dialogue with national stakeholders to ensure alignment of program outcomes with government policies and priorities, and facilitates the incorporation of civil society perspectives, including those of the organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) into program planning and implementation to strengthen national ownership and the relevance of results. •Oversees the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the joint programme across the four Participating United Nations Organizations, ensuring coherence with agreed workplans, timelines, and budgets; monitors programmatic progress and analyzes implementation trends; reviews reports, outputs, and relevant documentation to identify bottlenecks or risks and propose timely corrective measures in consultation with the relevant agencies and the donor. •Coordinates the consolidation of programmatic and financial reports received from the four Participating UN Organizations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to donor reporting standards and timelines; reviews and quality-assures narrative and financial submissions prior to circulation, and ensures their timely transmission to the donor in line with agreed reporting schedules. •Maintains comprehensive records of all reporting documentation, including progress reports, financial statements, and workplan updates, to support transparency and accountability throughout the programme cycle. <li>Contact details for three professional referees at least two of whom can speak to your strategic planning or PMO leadership work, and at least one of whom is a university President, Provost, or equivalent executive you reported to or directly supported</li>

The selection process includes a structured interview with the President and a strategy presentation exercise candidates are given AIU's RISE Strategy KPI framework and asked to present a hypothetical Q2 strategy review to the President and two VPs.
