The Maintenance Controller assigns priorities and directs maintenance personnel to correct discrepancies, generate work orders, track and comply with all inspection requirements, compile and record maintenance data applicable to the Maintenance Information System (MIS), provide the ability to compare records and reports on consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.</p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Description:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Act as point of contact for all aircraft discrepancies that may affect daily operations and mission success.</li> <li>Direct and coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions and workload planning</li> <li>Attend meetings with the customer and provide information, reports, and official correspondence regarding aircraft status, mission capability, and maintenance planning information.</li> <li>Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and customer representatives in the management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure the most efficient use of time and resources.</li> <li>Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and initiate corrective actions as necessary.</li> <li>Manage completion of maintenance actions and ensure the complete and accurate entry of data into the Maintenance Information System (MIS).</li> <li>Coordinate with adjacent contractors and supporting agencies to acquire necessary tools, parts, support, materials, and equipment to prevent maintenance stoppages.</li> <li>Ensure accuracy of documentation, (i.e., aircraft, engine, propeller, logbooks, weight and balance records, and MIS) and adherence to technical publications, policies, procedures, and safe maintenance practices.</li> <li>Prepares and sends required reports and attend staff / customer meetings as required.</li> <li>Coordinate troubleshooting efforts on complex maintenance discrepancies, making recommendations for courses of action based on aircraft service history analysis, applicable Maintenance Manual guidance, and operator experience.</li> <li>Use illustrated parts breakdowns (IPB)s to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and order parts.</li> <li>Monitor and track all life limited components, periodic special, hourly, conditional, and phase maintenance/isochronal inspections as required by the Periodic Maintenance Requirements Manual, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC)s, manufacturer s specifications, and all applicable directives, orders, and instructions.</li> <li>Coordinate with operations personnel and aircrew members to ensure the flight schedule is adequately supported and missions are able to be conducted within prescribed timelines.</li> <li>Conduct off-station maintenance when required.</li> <li>Assist in the conduct of maintenance on the flight line and back shops as required to ensure aircraft are available to support the flight schedule.</li> <li>When necessary, perform other duties and functions critical to the support of the program.<br> </li> </ul> <br> <strong>Qualifications</strong> <br> <br> <p> <strong>Education / Certifications:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma</li> </ul> <p>Must be able to obtain/maintain the following required certifications/qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level security clearance.</p> </li> <li>Aircraft Weight &amp; Balance certification</li> <li>Safe for Flight certification</li> <li>Aviation Gas Free Engineering (AVGFE) certification</li> <li>Hydraulic Contamination certification</li> <li> I Level &amp; O Level Tire &amp; Wheel certification</li> <li> I Level MLG Brake repair / rebuilding qualification</li> <li>Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) run qualification</li> <li>Applicable Support Equipment licensing</li> <li>Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification</li> <li>Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) qualification</li> <li>Corrosion Prevention and Control and Aircraft Paint qualification</li> <li>Confined Space Entry certification</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Experience:</strong> </p> <p> Eight years aircraft maintenance experience with five years experience working on C-130J aircraft preferred.<br> Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790.2 or equivalent experience with Air Force Instruction 21-101 preferred.<br> Safe for Flight experience and certification specific to C-130J aircraft preferred.<br> Must have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency.<br> Must have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs &amp; procedures).</p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Specific Requirements:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Must be United States (U.S.) citizen, be able to read, write, and understand the English language</li> <li>Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration.</li> <li>Must have a valid U.S. Driver s License.</li> <li>Must be willing to follow Kuwait Labor Law policies and able to adhere to and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements.</li> <li>Must be willing to administrate, maintain, and manage maintenance programs (ex.
