<p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>The Non-Destruction Inspection Technician (NDI) III inspects aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and performs fluid analysis.</p>
<p>Conduct the training and examination on all NDT methods to certify and to re-certify all operators and inspectors as outlined in NAS 410 or ASNT-CP-189.</p>
<p>Determine test method and prepare fluids and parts for nondestructive inspection.</p>
<p>Interpret nondestructive inspection test results and provide information about defects to repair center.</p>
<p>Analyze wear metal content reports on engine lubricating oil and other fluids and recommend corrective action.</p>

<p>Perform operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools.</p>
<p>Ensure lock out and tag out procedures are accomplished prior to maintenance on equipment.</p>
<p>Perform silver recovery functions.</p>
<p>Handle and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.</p>
<p>Perform other qualified duties as assigned.</p>
<h4>Minimum requirements</h4>
<p>Completion of high school or equivalent and U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired, certification of education level is required.</p>
<p>Trained and certified as an Examiner (Level III) to monitor the NDT Program, interpret codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the NDT method, will be certified to review their own x-rays.</p>
<p>Three (3) years’ experience as a Non Destructive Inspection (NDI).</p>

<li>Proficient in the use of the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation Enhanced (ULLS-AE), the current maintenance management system utilized to maintain Army aircraft forms and records.</li>
<li>Thorough comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.</li>
<li>Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.</li>

<p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>

Work on the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Operate computer hardware and software utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures. Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction in support of Reaper Series RPA maintenance.</p>
<p>Additionally, employee may conduct inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment. Support weapons loading and armament systems and related matters. As Lead technical Inspector, provide technical guidance and supervision to subordinates. Perform estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD), Actual Cost of Damage (ACOD), Estimated Costs of Fabrications (ECOF) and Estimated Cost of Repair (ECOR) inspections and verify condition codes. Performs Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) functions.
