<p><h4>Principal accountabilities</h4>
<p>Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.</p>

<li>Supervises the total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design, budget and schedule.</li>
<li>Ensures construction adheres to construction specifications.</li>
<li>Reads, interprets, and deciphers all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.). Provides technical assistance and interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment as required.</li>
<li>Logs, references, distributes, and files all related correspondence, drawings, and documents.</li>
<li>Plans, coordinates, and supervises on-site functions (scheduling, material control, and day-to-day direction of on-site administrative staff, when assigned).</li>

<h4>Experience & education</h4>

<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction technology, or construction management (preferred).</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; note US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.</li>
<li>Minimum seven (7) years of construction field experience in all phases of civil and building construction or a two (2) year associate degree in construction management or related field and five (5) years of field experience.</li>
<li>Experience with mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing) and electrical projects.</li>
<li>Experience in civil/structural projects and hold an American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete testing certification.</li>
<li>Construction inspector shall also be versed in the International Building Code (IBC), NFPA Fire Codes, British Standard (BS) Electrical Code, and the National Electric Code (NEC) in addition to general construction practices.</li>
<li>Must be able to read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and related documents); analyze procedures to identify deficiencies, review time/cost estimates, monitor project phasing and ensure adherence to approved safety standards, observe and inspect ongoing construction work, oversee construction record keeping activities, recommend payments to contractors, recommend change orders, review proposed change orders submitted by construction contractors, prepare and submit reports, and keep a daily log of all activities, weather conditions and work quantities.</li>
<li>An EIT or professional certification/project management certification is desired.</li>

Employee will be part of the Deployment Pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.<br><br>Employee will assemble, disassemble, renovate, transport, load, deactivate, modify, destroy, and handle munitions including missiles, precision, and gravity bombs. Work on the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Perform maintenance modifications, destruction, and demilitarization of ammunition and explosive components. Operate computer hardware and software utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures. Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction in support of Reaper Series RPA maintenance.<br><br>Additionally, employee may conduct inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment. Support weapons loading and armament systems and related matters. Support quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs. Attend weapons safety course, load certification and related activities. Provide technical inputs to managers in matters of weapons management, inventory, and maintenance, loading, and armament systems. Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to support emerging customer requirements.<br><br>USAF equivalent position is Munitions/Weapons Technician Apprentice.<br><br>Essential Responsibilities: <br><br> Perform basic work in the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components. Minimum of one year of actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience required. Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent. Must possess basic knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft maintenance. Must be able to perform Increment Monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo Must be able to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment. Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed. Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment. Must be able to Deploy to Forward Locations (other countries) as Directed by the Government. Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance. Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employment. Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date. Responsibilities Job Details / Position Summary The Aviation Support Equipment Technician diagnoses malfunctions repairs and maintains Support Equipment (SE); inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; troubleshoots discrepancies by studying drawings, wiring diagram schematics, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, technical publications and historical maintenance actions. The Technician uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and document maintenance actions. The Technician analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs SE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools. Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical maintenance data sources. The Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on SE by inspecting, testing and operating SE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Services equipment with required fluids such as oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant and compressed air. The Technician also performs removal, disassembly, repair, cleaning, corrosion treatment, re-assembly and installation of malfunctioning CSE accessories and components, as well as stenciling and marking SE, storing, handling, labelling, using and disposing of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. The Technician prepares SE for preservation and mobility deployment. The Technician operates, cleans, inspects and services all assigned support equipment, to include towing vehicles, to include Bobtail Ford trucks, Tow Tractors (Tug), and U-30 aircraft tow vehicle. In addition to performing inspections and maintenance, the technician practices good housekeeping, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety awareness. Description: • Performs diagnosis and corrective actions, disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs according to publication/technical instructions and technical directives on all required support equipment. Determines requirements for repairs, modifications, and part replacements. May be required to verify/inspect work performed by other technicians for which he/she is qualified to perform.• Reviews, interprets, and applies maintenance procedures in support of assigned maintenance actions. Applies practical knowledge of wiring schematics and the interpretation of technical data contained within those schematics and/or sources of maintenance data• Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.• Performs “O”, “I” and authorized commercial repair of all CSE, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Palletized Systems Equipment (PSE) in accordance with the KAF 4790.2 and applicable maintenance manuals.• Performs scheduled, unscheduled, and other hourly or calendar inspections in accordance with the KAF 4790.2 and applicable publications.• Troubleshoots, repairs, reworks and maintains hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems. Removes, adjusts, repairs and replaces/re-installs functional components and incorporates applicable technical directives and bulletins.• Ensures the accurate entry of data into the locally used computer database system to document maintenance actions, monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and maintain equipment records. • Uses Hazardous Materials such as chemical sealants, oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, etc. and performs proper handling and disposal of chemicals and petroleum products required during maintenance.• Uses illustrated parts breakdowns (IPB)s to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and requisitions repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies through supply system.• Performs close tolerance adjustment, repair and rework of equipment in and out of shop area.• Services, inspects and tests aviation support equipment used for direct and indirect aircraft support.• Troubleshoots, inspects, services, tests and re-conditions storage batteries, to include lead-acid, gel and sealed type.• Performs Corrosion Control/Prevention, Preservation and de-preservation of Support Equipment (SE).• Performs general housekeeping and organization of workstation(s), shop(s), maintenance facility to provide a clean, safe, and FOD free environment.• Conducts off station maintenance when required.• When necessary, perform other duties and functions critical to the support of the program. Qualifications Education / Certifications: • High School Diploma • Must be able to obtain/maintain the following required certifications/qualifications: Applicable Support Equipment licensing: + “I” Level & “O” Level Tire & Wheel certification + Hydraulic Contamination certification + Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification + Corrosion Prevention and Control and Aircraft Paint qualification + “I” Level Battery Maintenance certification Experience: • Five years of hands-on aviation ground support equipment maintenance experience preferred. A combination of formal education, technical schools, and practical experience may be substituted. • Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790.2 or equivalent experience with Air Force Instruction 21-101 preferred. • Must have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency. • Must have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs & procedures). Specific Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level security clearance. • Must be United States (U.S.) citizen , be able to read, write, and understand the English language • Must be able to obtain a United States Passport.
