Perform overhaul, maintenance and sustainment support on 3kW to 150kW, 500 0hz generators involving installation and removal of generators from fixed and mobile locations, troubleshoots and repair alternating current (AC) systems, direct current (DC) systems, electronic control systems and other program logic controls, electrical wiring and accessories. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, Chillers, and Environmental Control Units some are standalone units and others are mounted on trailers and vehicles. Maintain all types of commercial power generation equipment; military spec generators and Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS). Operate a Load bank and dynometer during testing Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals. Some work will be in a generator shop environment, and some work will be in a field environment.
