Assists the Supply Lead in the accomplishment of tasks assigned to the Supply Resource Center and serves as the point of contact on all logistics/supply/material related issues. Complies with all references pertaining to KAF logistics procedures, to include the KAF 4790 series manuals as they apply to this contract. Major Job Activities Description: · Assists the Supply Lead in the management of daily operations and execution of all tasks in support of the Supply Resource Center. · Works as a member of the supply team, executing tasks and facilitating priorities as prescribed by the Supply Lead and Maintenance Control. · Ensures timely and accurate completion of all supply related reports, contract deliverables, and relevant documents. · Enforces and exercises continuous awareness of the supply effort in compliance with the KAF 4790, V2X, and local policies and instructions. · Establish and maintain written procedures for the proper control of Government Furnished Property. · Ensures accountability, shipment, and receipt of detachment pack ups and retrogrades. · Use illustrated parts breakdowns (IPB)s to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and order parts to complete maintenance actions. · Maintains liaison with adjacent contractors and agencies in the performance of duties to include the procurement of high priority components/consumables, coordinating, facilitating, and tracking all shipping requirements. · Manages all aspects of the Repair of Repairable (ROR) process, to include the preparation, coordination, tracking, and accurate documentation of all ROR transactions. · Submits changes to established procedures/business rules ensuring all functions are consistent with written procedures. · Establish and maintain stocking levels of aircraft components and consumables to ensure materials are available to meet maintenance requirements and maintain established contractual Mission Capability (MC) rates. · Uses established supply routes to pick up and drop off parts in the support of maintenance and the flight schedule. · Conducts and documents monthly inventories, maintains and updates supply records and documentation, maintains inventory at lowest possible cost to the customer. · Makes recommendations concerning the functions of the Supply process at all supply/logistics meetings. · Complies with DOT Hazardous Material Transportation Procedures. · Utilizes logistical/supply related automated information systems to research, order, track, open, and close out supply requisitions. · Processes, receives and restocks parts, maintaining all shipping documentation and certificates of conformance upon receipt of all parts as shipments arrive. · Requisitions replenishments to maintain adequate stock levels to ensure parts are available to maintain mission capable (MC) aircraft and ready for issue (RFI) support equipment. · Extensive working knowledge of Government Property Control/Procurement procedures in accordance with KAF 4790 · Works directly with the customer, interfacing with both U.S. and Kuwaiti government, in the conduct of daily business and on issues involving procedural deficiencies. · Complies with all company and government safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. · Responsible for updating and maintaining the KAF’s supply information system: Kuwait Automated Supply Program (KASP) and maintenance information system: GOLD. · Maintains accurate records of government property throughout the acquisition and disposition process. · Responsible for adhering to all applicable maintenance programs (FOD, HAZMAT, ESD, etc..) required in the performance of duties. · Checkout and operate all necessary support equipment to conduct warehouse operations. · When necessary, perform other duties and supervisory functions, critical to the function of the program and to assure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><br>Supports an Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) shop in a medium to large-sized military aircraft flying organization. Ensures the timely and proper performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE equipment and light support vehicles. Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions. Interprets drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data to facilitate repairs and/or modifications to ground support equipment.<br>Identifies appropriate replacement parts in TOs and technical documents and orders those parts. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and re-installs AGE accessories and components. Stencils and marks AGE as appropriate. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air as required. Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE tow vehicles. Maintains and documents AGE equipment and tow vehicle forms. Positions equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. Schedules PMIs as required. Adheres to safety procedures and follows technical orders as applicable.<br>USAF equivalent position is AGE Mechanic Apprentice.<br><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b><br>• Maintains external fuel and grounding systems; performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE; inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation; services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air; diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.<br>• Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning basic GSE accessories and components; removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories; stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications; stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.<br>• Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.<br>• Assists in maintaining vehicle records and assists with updating paper and electronic equipment records; provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations; practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times.<br>• Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.<br>Minimum Requirements<br>• Must have High School Diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.<br>• Minimum of one-year actual AGE maintenance experience required.<br>• Must be qualified with most basic types and uses of AGE equipment.<br>• Must be familiar with diesel engine maintenance and repair, and HVAC maintenance and repair at the basic level.<br>• Must be able to perform Increment Monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo.<br>• Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.<br>• Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.<br>• Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.<br>• Must be able to Deploy to Forward Locations (other countries) as Directed by the Government<br>• Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.<br>• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.<br>• Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date.<br>• Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months.
